C.L. Fails is the author and illustrator of the Ella Books series, The Christmas Cookie books, and The Secret World of Raine the Brain series. Surprisingly, she also penned the Sugarplum Trilogy romance novels, and "So Okay...," a Modern Memoir about her grandfather. Her latest work, Decoding Joy, uses her life as a case study for the pursuit of a life filled with deep happiness. Maybe her greatest work is that of an educator, having served pre-school through college students in her hometown of Kansas City. When she's not working on a book you can find her doodling on whatever object may be nearby.
