About the challenge:

AMD EPYC 4th generation processors are leading the industry in performance and capability for the data center. This hackathon will test your chops to optimize an application to take advantage of AMD's security technologies including Infinity Guard. Infinity Guard provides A hardware foundation for secure encrypted virtualization, secure memory encryption, secure boot, and shadow stack. Teams who can demonstrate a quality application delivery utilizing these core capabilities will put themselves in a position to win.

What to Create:

new and working software application that integrates AMD Infinity Guard and AMD EPYC 7003 processors or newer.

  • Should be within the Financial Services Industry and demonstrate the use of Hardware Security Modules (HSM) to encrypt/ decrypt transactions coming from a Point-of-Sale device.
  • Must demonstrate the sharing/ deployment of HSM keys in a secured manner across SNP-enabled nodes, mitigating maluses.
  • Must make use of Secure Encrypted Virtualization (optional: Secure Memory Encryption, Secure Boot, and Shadow Stack)
  • Must allow for flexibility with different deployment models of the workload. For example, containerized deployment for ease of operations and the ability to drive modern application architecture towards micro-services.

Check out the Resources page for more details on using these tools and the WWT Developer Cloud.
