Ellie's Dance
Ellie started taking dance this year and is in a Showmanship class which means the girls perform a few more times than the other 4 year old class however there are only three girls in her class but they are adorable. Here they are getting ready for their performance at the Jubilee of Trees.
I'm back just in time for Christmas!!
I've realized that I need to blog because one day this will be all I have as a journal and the best pictures of what is going on with our family. I've made a resolve to do better and I'll be glad I did. Tonight is Christmas Eve which makes me ponder how much I love my little family. Watching them do the nativity tonight was so sweet, Ellie taking such good care of baby Jesus and rubbing his little face with the gifts the Wise Men brought. I went to put some of the boys's shoes away and MJ says, Hi Mom, and then Carter, Hi Mom. I remember those Christmas Eve nights being too excited to fall asleep, listening to every little noise going on upstairs. Can't wait for tomorrow...

Pictures at the temple
I don't know why I was so bad at keeping up on my blog. Ellie had a fun birthday and I haven't even posted pictures yet. Reminder to do that soon. Here are some pictures Stephen took at the temple yesterday.

CARTER TURNS 4!!
Sunday was Carter's birthday, I can't believe he's already 4. I made him this cute robot cake but him and Ellie kept eating the arms and legs so by the time we cut into it it was quite a bit shorter. I'm realizing we didn't get any other pictures just a big long video. He loved all his gifts and I love this age where they love everything they get and are so excited and thankful to have it.

FOUR MONTH UPDATE
I got this really nice camera from my sweet husband and yet I have not been sharing all my great pictures. I realize I can't go back and journal the last four months so I am just starting from today and trying to do better. A couple of highlights though we had a very nice Thanksgiving and Christmas in St George. My parents went on a mission to the Ukraine in January (we miss them :() My bff Sherrie got married, yeah! And while i was gone my talented and hard-working husband took the drop ceiling out of my kitchen, hallelujah it is an amazing difference! He also built some stairs to accompany the gate he had built to my parents house 2 years ago. I also got to go see my friend Carla in California who has been batteling cancer for a year now. She is so amazing and such an inspiration to me. Today we took some time to ride the St George Carousel. The kids loved it and even Michael and I got to ride and feel like kids again, I love that feeling!

Kitchen Update
I am always looking for ways to make our home a little nicer but a very short shoestring I saw on sawdustandembroys that this girl paints backsplashes to look like tile. I thought I might as well try that because you can always paint over it and what have you lost. I spent $10 in paint and tape and ended up with this. I love how it turned out. It really warms up our kitchen and gives it a little pizzaz. Now I just need to figure out how to get rid of that drop ceiling.
