It's been a little scary with Stockton the last couple of weeks. It all started with Stockton swallowing what we think was a plastic star at the babysitter's. He was breathing but kept vomiting and was inconsolable. I got the call when Mike and my mom were already at the E.R. It turned out everything was all right. The star never showed up on a x-ray (but that's a given bc it was plastic), and we never found it in any diaper.
The next part wasn't scary (but I think it led to some unpleasantness later). Mike took him for his 9 month well child visit, mind you, this was the first week of March. He was 30 1/2" (100%) and 24 lbs. 6 oz. (100%). There's no denying we have a big boy! I think it's crazy when I see these little things with tons of hair walking around, and then there's my boy. At the doctor, I guess S's iron was very low, so he sent Mike immediately to the hospital to get some blood work done. They couldn't get it from one arm, so they had to attack the other one. Shots are nothing compared to blood work.
Anyways, we awoke early, early Sunday morning to a very sick Stockton (both ends). I actually thought it was a reaction to some food I gave him the day before, but now it was obvious it was the stomach flu (I think he either got it from the dr. office or the hospital.) Stockton first gave the flu to Blake & Erika's fam. (I feel so bad bc I took him over to their house for babysitting when I thought he was having a food aversion). It later suddenly hit Mike and I on a overnighter in Park City. I think we're all back to normal now. But you know the saying..."when it rains, it pours!"
