Brotherly Love

No, not the city. Just genuine love between brothers.

Another beach excursion

I realize that I have already posted pictures of a previous beach outing and now here is another. Boring, I know. But let's be honest to say that if our blog is filled with summer beach posts, I will not be complaining. And I do not hear Gavin or Logan or Sean complaining so far as well. No sir! All smiles, a couple cat-naps, lots of sunscreen.

Logan enjoys the beach a little more each time we go mainly due to his growing age.
I enjoy the beach a little more each time we go since my routine gets perfected.
Gavin enjoys the beach a little more each time we go if that was at all possible.

Do you see the excitement in this kid's face in the last picture? Priceless.
Thanks dad and Marilyn for a fabulous day at the beach!

"Hello!"

Although this bikini wearing lady looks really nice, we do not know her.
That does not stop my son. He is the friendliest toddler on the block.
"Hello!" is a common phrase he shouts to the man stocking groceries, to the woman reading a book right in the middle of Story Time, and to the students walking on campus during our tour.
I adore that child.

P.S. More to come about our fabulous trip to the beach yesterday.

A Collection of Videos

Be warned! Unless you are a grandparent or other adoring fan of my children, the following videos will be boring. Their adorableness, sweetness, and amusement just might put you right to sleep. Also, it appears all the videos might have been set to start muted. You may have to adjust the volume before you play.

The Gainesville Sun

Image
In an article spotlighting the brand new business school building, Sean's picture landed him in the paper (and in the online version as well)! Now before you laugh at his fleece, you must know that buildings are heavily air-conditioned down here to compensate for the extreme heat. Our heat index was 110 degrees but our pool visit today cooled us off nicely. Click on the link below to view the full article and look for the button 'More Photos: Hough Hall' to see all the pictures. Sean's graduating class next April will actually be the first to graduate from this $10 million building. We plan to take a family field trip on campus soon but we are waiting for mid-terms to get over (again) for Sean. He has been working so hard and raves about the program so, we are quite excited to see this building. Either way we are quite proud him and cannot wait to see where he spends so much time.

The Klauks

You might have noticed that we do not have a blog roll on our site listing the various websites we follow. Part of me does not want to admit (to myself) just how many of you I stalk out there. Google Reader helps me keep up with your goings and comings though. Don't fret. I continue to stalk.

Image

I particularly like stalking this newly married couple, the Klauks. Kristen and Jason are taking six months out of their life to hike the almost 2,200 thousand miles from Georgia to Maine. They are hiking the Appalachian Trail from start to finish and are currently in New York. I regret not posting about them sooner for if you are interested you have almost 1,000 miles to catch up on. Kristen and Jason alternate who narrates each day's entry and they even post a picture or two. Living out of a backpack, coming across bears in the wild, and reading about some fascinating fellow hikers. All entertaining entries! So check them out here at http://klaukstokatahdin.blogspot.com/. And if you want to read more about the overall journey, check out their very first post here.

P.S. I do not randomly stalk the Klauks. Kristen and I were childhood best friends when I lived in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. We have remained in touch over the years and I was even able to attend her wedding last March to Jason. Her birthday has been carved into my brain since we young (11/29) not that I would ever want to forget it.
