"Wear One, Share One" Project

Image

My niece, Kristi, is amazing. She has started a project called "Wear One Share One" where she is working with children's homes in Ghana, Africa to help supply clothing and other supplies to those in need. You can buy a t-shirt from her awesome line, Studio Vim, and she will donate a t-shirt to the children's homes in Ghana. All proceeds will go towards helping to supply these orphanages with other supplies they desperately need. Once you have purchased a shirt you can also sign up to receive updates about the project and your contribution.

Please pass along this message and please support this project by buying a shirt to help an orphan in need!

You can see Kristi talk about the project on the Daily Dish by following this link: http://eplayer.clipsyndicate.com/cs_api/iframe?pl_id=20000&page_count=5&wpid=9604&windows=1&tags=CCTVI_GTU&show_title=0&va_id=3097421&auto_start=0&auto_next=1

P.s. Kristi did not ask me to advertise her project for her. (although I can't imagine why since so many people read my blog;) I just wanted to help spread the word!

Olivia Rose

Kimi and Landon had their gorgeous baby girl a few weeks early on Friday morning. Olivia Rose Jones. I got to visit them at the hospital on Saturday and I could have held little Olivia forever!

I love her so much already!

I stole this photo from Natalie's blog. They both looks so angelic and adorable at the same time.

Also on Saturday...

Matt and I went to a wedding reception for Marlee (awesome friend from working at the MOA), where we met up with Natalie (always a bonus). And since Natalie is always prepared with her camera, we have a few photos to remember the occasion.

Kimi's havin' a baby!

My mom, Natalie and I threw bestie, Kimi, a baby shower a couple of weekends ago. It was so great to see friends and a special shout out to my mom for being amazing, as always, and helping Natalie and I put this together. She's wonderful:)

All photos courtesy of Natalie.

Our food display. Simple. But also quite delicious, I thought. And thanks to Natalie for this super awesome, artsy photo;)

I think the book gifts were Kimi's favorite. Little Olivia Rose is going to be one smart baby.

New friend, Ariel, whose hair and outfits I'm continually jealous of! Always so cute.

I just love my MOA friends! I'm so excited we were all able to get together.

St. George

Image
In a Las Vegas club.

*Totally* kidding! ha, me trying to be funny:) This photo really is in Las Vegas, but just at dinner:)
St. George/Las Vegas was a long weekend trip for us and one of the best trips I've been on. It was SO GREAT to get so much time for just the two of us.

We got to go to the temple while in St. George, which was really great.

On our last day we went to Snow Canyon and drove around. So pretty!!

We also went to church in St. George right before we left. Matt and I really loved this man's outfit, but when Matt tried to take a picture it ended up like this:

I crack up every time I look at it.

Updates!

I honestly have meant to post a lot sooner, but our schedules got a little busy and so blogging got pushed back on the to do list. But here are some of our more exciting recent events...

Matt has a new work schedule! This may not sound like the most exciting news to some, but I am so happy! For the past 6 months he hasn't been getting home from work until pretty much 9 o'clock every night, but his new schedule lets him be home by 7:30 and I am loving it! We actually get to eat dinner together now!

Also exciting:

I got a new job! Well, actually it's a payed internship, which is maybe more exciting for me. I'm still a TA down in Provo until June 16, but in addition, I will be working at the Church History Museum for a year long internship in their Education Department. I'll be full time during the summer and then down to part time once school starts in the fall. This opportunity has really been a major blessing for Matt and I and I'm so grateful and excited! I started this past Monday, finishing my first week there yesterday and I can't begin to explain how nice and welcoming everyone has been. I'm also grateful to be working somewhere where I will be given some real responsibility on projects that mean something (apart from those awful fluff internships I've had before...).

Also, I am the new voice of recorded information for the museum's front desk, which I will be updating regularly throughout the year. This is completely silly, but I have always wanted to be the voice of a significant voice mail. I really think the recording makes me sound like a 12 year old, but I also kind of like the idea that people will hear my voice when they call the museum for information:) Please don't judge me.

Maybe the most exciting news is that Matt and I just returned home from our first vacation together. We went to St. George for a long weekend and it was one of the best trips I've ever been on. (Also probably the most time we've been able to spend together since we've been married - depressing) I'll provide photos in an upcoming post!
