PRojects IN Controlled Environments (PRINCE) was a project management methodology developed by the Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency (CCTA) in the United Kingdom.
PRINCE was originally developed in 1989 by the Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency (CCTA) of the United Kingdom government. It was designed as a structured project management methodology for IT projects.
Note:
PRINCE was later improved into PRINCE2, the second iteration of the original PRINCE methodology, making it applicable across all industries.
