cross it off the bucket list....

One thing I have always wanted to do is scuba dive... I have had a few introductions to it but never been certified. While in Maui I had the perfect introduction and would recommend it to anyone who is maybe thinking they would like to scuba. It is called snuba. It is just like scuba but you don't have to carry your tank. They put a weight belt on you so you can be weighted down to the bottom.

They put us in wet suit because we were going to be in the water for over 30 minutes. Then there is a raft that carries your tank around while your regulator is hooked to a 20 foot hose. We saw lots of amazing fish and could hear the dolphins under the water. Britt and I had so much fun!!!! So as soon as I got home I decided it was time... Scuba lessons here we come. It just so happens that Tanecia wanted to scuba with her going to be husband on their honeymoon. So we could do it together. We just started lessons last week but I am loving it and enjoy the time in the pool. I cant wait to do our open water dives.

This year went too fast....

Wow I am way behind.... so sorry. One of my new goals for 2010 will try to be keeping my blog better up to date. Here are just a few pictures of things that have happened these past few months many of them life changing.ImageImage Chase and I went to the MSL All star game It was so much fun to be there. This year I have also had the chance to go to several RSL games. It was fun this last weekend to watch them win the championship I wish I could have been in Seattle.

ImageTanecia and I went to Denver for a girls weekend. We went to the temple, went to a Cirque show, and were able to watch the Rookies play. We had alot of fun in a city that I have flown into many time but never got to enjoy the many things outside the airport.Image

ImageMy little brother got married September 18 5 years to the day of their first date. I am so excited for them and excited for their new life together. The day was amazing the weather turned out great. The were sealed in the Salt Lake temple and had a reception at SleepyRidge Golf course. They are both working and going to school full time. Congrats Chasey and Burnty!!!!

My Grandma Steck passed away the day before chase was married. She had been battling cancer for the past couple of years. It was really a bitter sweet week for us. It was so sad to have her pass away but we know she was there for the wedding and we were excited my grandpa could attend. My grandma was a major influence on my life and I miss her everyday. I live each day knowing she is watching over me and I must do what I can to make her proud of me. It was hard to have Thanksgiving at her house this year and not have her running around running the kitchen. I am thankful for the time that I have been able to spend with my grandpa. He is an amazing man who continues to inspire me all the time. I am grateful for my family and the chance I have to be apart of it.

There are some more pictures that I would like to post but I have to go...... I will continue to add pictures as I can. Just another day in the life of Amy.

My family took a trip to Mexico to have sometime to just hang out with Chase when he got home. We had a fantastic time.... We took so many pictures here are just a few of them from our adventures in mexico.

Image
Chase, Steve, Dad and I took the chance to play a round of golf at the course that was at our resort. It was just a short par 3 course and was designed by the Golden Bear himself. We had alot of fun even Chase would thought he would be a little rusty.

Image
Chase, Brittney, and I took a trip down to Tulum. It was really hot so we had to take a dip in the ocean. Chase had so much fun body surfing. It is a blast to hang out with these two. These are really funny together.

Image
Brinley had become the little traveller. She loves for the most part travelling in the car. She will always do roll call to make sure everyone was in the car and ready to go. She loves to play in the ocean but doesn't love the sand. She will tell you that the ocean is "salty." She also had become the little fish. She loves to swim in the pool with her floaties.

We were excited that Brittney got to come to Mexico with us. Chase made it very exciting for us the whole time as he tried to come up with a way to ask her to marry him. More to come on this story in a later posting but I am really excited for them.

Image

The resort that we stayed at had the largest pool in Central America. We had so much fun playing and laying by it every day. The weather was so hot that it felt so good to get into the water. We even had some delightful night swims.Image

I always enjoy the chance to go to a different country and to enjoy the sight and food. It is also fun to be able to do it with my whole family. Thanks dad for working hard for us to enjoy nice things. Thanks to Chase and Steve for being our translators. Love you all.

WELCOME HOME ELDER WARNICK!!!!

Image Elder Chase Warnick return home from a faithful mission served in the Portland Oregon Spanish speaking mission. I am so excited to have him home. He is such a great brother and a wonderful example to us all.

Aruba baby!!!

Image

Image

I had the chance to go to a fantastic island that is not travelled to a lot. This island is Aruba.. most of the time people only have heard of it because of a Beach Boys song. (Aruba, Jamaica oooo I wanna take ya...) So alittle about the island.. it is Dutch ruled, most of the people speak English and Spanish because it is only 14 miles from Venezuela, and even though they have their own currency they still use the American dollar. I went with Brittney, her mom Greta (PS thanks you for the Jet Blue buddy passes), her sister Brooke, and Brooke's friend Stephanie.

We had so much fun... we laid out every day enjoying the warm sun and were grateful for a little breeze every day. The temperature there is constant all year round because they are so close to the equator. The high is usually around 90 degrees and the low usually only drops to 79 or 80 each night.

The ocean is amazing here... the sand is really white and leads in the pretties Caribbean blue water. It is nice a cool so it feels really good to get wet because the air is so warm. It was so much fun to hang out on the beach every day.

It was such amazing trip I would love to go back right now... until next time.
