Prue Leith has been at the top of the British food scene for nearly sixty years.
She has seen huge success, not only as founder of the renowned Leith’s School of Food and Wine, but also as a caterer, restaurateur, teacher, TV cook, food journalist, cookery book author and novelist.
Her most recent book The Lost Son is now out. The third and final book in the trilogy about the Angelotti family- definitely worth a read.
She’s also been a leading figure in campaigns to improve food in schools, hospitals and in the home.
Prue is known as a judge on The Great British Menu and the nation’s favourite TV programme, The Great British Bake Off.
She was born in South Africa and lives in the UK.

I love GBBS recipes. From basic to more elaborate, there is always something to delight and challenge the home baker. And the fact that each of these bakers brings their disparate backgrounds and cultural heritage means that it never gets boring.

Fantastic range of recipes, from sweets to savoury. Some recipes are quite complex and require quite a lot of time. I do wish it included nutritional and calorie information for each recipe though.
