About the challenge:

Welcome to the future of agentic analytics. Using Plotly Studio, we challenge the community to create fast, beautiful, insightful data apps that push the boundaries of what's possible with natural language and data. You can choose to use your own dataset (under 75 MB) or the pre-selected OECD-wellbeing dataset.

Participants will have one month of free access to the Plotly Pro Plan (or until all AI credits are used) as well as the opportunity to receive cash prizes, swag, and additional Plotly Studio usage. 

Get started:

1. Download and install Plotly Studio on your computer (Mac with Apple silicon chip or x64 Windows)
2. Choose the pre-selected OECD-wellbeing dataset or your own dataset (under 75 MB)
3. Start building your app with Plotly Studio
4. If you run out of your initial AI allocation, you can add more with the coupon code shared in the post-registration email.

Using Plotly Studio:

Building an app on Plotly Studio uses AI tokens. On average, the Pro tier allows for 5 app generations and approximately 110 edits. Please be mindful of this and focus on app edits as opposed to generating multiple apps. You will be notified when you reach 50% and 75% usage of the Pro tier. Once you reach 100%, you will no longer be able to build or modify your app unless you choose to upgrade to the Max plan.

  Does the project thoroughly leverage Plotly Studio's different features?
• Data Exploration & Storytelling
  What is the depth of data insights revealed by the data app? Do the different charts and cards show information in a complementary way that encourages curiosity and data exploration?
• Data Visualization
  How creative and unique are the visualizations?
• App Design
  How clear and organized is each app card? Are the card titles, controls, legends, and summaries of high quality?
• Quality of the Idea
  Only applicable to participants that use their own datasets. How creative and unique is the dataset chosen and the app built? Do similar data projects exist already? If so, how much does the project improve on them?
