Going Private
Hey Everybody!
With all the craziness going on in the world right now, i've decided to go private in order to keep our life...well...more private. I love blogging between family and friends, so let's be honest, who else really needs to be able to read about our home, crafts, creations, and life?? :) While I am at it, I might as well change my blog address...finally. haha. More updates on that to come. Until then, if you would like access to my "New-Private blog", please leave your email address in the comments.

Another project??
Alright. I know I said I was finished with projects for a while...
but I forgot that I had purchased this fabric a couple weeks ago in hopes of making a long/ comfortable swim suit cover-up for the lake this summer. I found all this fabric (and more) for a mere $6 and I thought it screamed summer time. Anyways, with today off and my bathroom project finished, I pulled out the sewing machine and started cutting. Let's be honest, there are LOTS of mistakes, but for not having a pattern...it'll do the job. :)

PS- I know the hem line is crooked...i'm over it. Time to go do something that doesn't induce frustration. Happy Monday.

Bathroom Makeover
I'm so glad you all liked the Valentine wreaths. I usually get my inspiration from other blogs or websites. The burlap wreath can be found here. The hot pink heart wreath evolved from an original idea to the final product after much frustration over the "roses" not turning out the way i'd like them.
...Now it's time for a new wreath. Let me know if you guys find any cute/ inexpensive ideas. I wonder if our neighbors think we're weird that our heart wreath is still up. haha
My time lately has been consumed with re-doing our master bathroom/ bedroom. We were lucky enough to find a home that was freshly painted not long before we purchased it. I was able to patch a few holes and start decorating once we moved in. After over a year, I've decided that our room and bathroom needed some attention. While our room is still a work in progress, I did manage to finally hang the 6 ft shelf (with the help of my mom) that I made at least 6 months ago and get that decorated. It does a great job at warming up our room.

In deciding what to do with our bathroom, I decided that it needed a new color in addition to a few decor items. Thanks Karen for the paint color name...it was exactly the look I was going for. We love it now...much more inviting.

I took down the towel rod and switched it out for hooks. I think we're going to like this much better. The rod has yet to prove useful. I also recaulked our shower and made the curtain. Yay for a new sewing machine for Christmas from mom & dad. This was my first project to be able to use it. The completely finished product is pending a new set of cream towels that match. All in due time. :) All I know is that painting is hard work and takes a LONG time from start (prep) to finish (touch ups). It's time for a short break from projects.

Blogger slacker...
I had sweet reminder from Ryanne to "update your blog every once in a while." So here I am. I have to confess... I love stalking all your blogs during my break at work, but i'm a slacker when it comes to updating my own. So here's an attempt to use my break at work effectively.
We've gone on a few adventures lately but since i'm at work, I don't have the picture with me. I'll post those later. We were able to go up to conference and stay with Trevor's brother and his family. We loved staying with them. They are so much fun and their boys are adorable. Conference was wonderful as well.
We also took a trip up to the Palmer's cabin in Christopher Creek one weekend. We took my family up and had such a great time! Trevor related the weekend trip to a "mini-idaho" experience. It's true...and the whether was wonderful.
Thanksgiving Day and weekend was loads of fun as well. It was so so fun to see everyone on my side of the family on Thanksgiving day...including former Elder Greene. Welcome home Trevor! (That's your shout-out). The Friday after Thanksgiving I had to be into work at 6 am (stink) but was able to leave at 11:30. :) I met up with Trevor and we went and helped his brother's family move. That night, after we got them moved, we had a fun BBQ with Trevor's other brother, Ben, and his family and Jeff and Alice and Tim and Kylee. We love spending time with everyone. Saturday we (Trevor) put up our lights and we set up our Christmas tree. We then caught the end of the BYU/ Utah game and then headed out for a night on the town with Jeff and Alice and their boys, Tony, and Mary Joyce. We ate at Cafe Rio, went and visited Grandpa, and then went and saw the Christmas light at the temple. It was so fun to have Braeden and Carter ride with us. They are so funny! Sunday we went to Trevor G's homecoming! It was a great time!
We've loved spending so much time with family! I'm so glad it's the holiday season! Love you all.

Wreath
Hello All! Life gets so busy sometimes that it's hard to blog...and when you sit down to write, you're overwhelmed with where to start. I decided just to start fresh. We had a fabulous summer filled with a Palmer family reunion in Prescott followed by our "family reunion" with my side of the family in Idaho/ Montana. We had such a great time and didn't want to come back to reality. Since then Trevor spent 11 days driving the coast of Cali, Washington, and Oregon doing UofP site visits. That was the first time we had been away from each other over a weekend. I wasn't a fan. However, since then, he's been home everyday! ...and I've loved it!
I'm on another project-kick. I've been wanting to make a wreath for our front door but have had trouble finding one that I really like-until yesterday. I was browsing online for inspiration- and inspiration is what I found! Bam! Meet our new corn husk wreath! I love it!
I have more projects to come. I plan on posting them for you. {hopefully that happens} Until then, does anybody need an entertainment center? Remember that black one we painted a couple months back? Well, we got a new TV and it no long fits in that. Let me know if you're interested.
