we had a party and it was good. I saved 48 beer bottles for what will hopefully be a late-summer/early-fall homebrewing ADVENTURE. also, the party ended with us having several cans of PBR in the fridge. it is a good sign for social-connectedness when people I don't know come over to my house and leave behind beer I would never buy.
I put some Feisty Fawn on my laptop. I had feared that since new PPCs aren't being produced anymore, later releases of Ubuntu would stop improving support for them. but no, THAT'S WHY OPEN-SOURCE IS AWESOME: FF has tons of bonus hardware support that Dapper didn't, including awesomely-immediately-working WIRELESS with airport extreme! hells yes. I will never use proprietary software again. well, actually, that's a lie -- the laptop is dual-booting with OSX, with a different dual-sloth desktop picture for each OS.
