But if you only come here for the graphic stuff, those Entries are still set to 'Everyone (Public)', so no worries. :) P.S.: Just in case you need any of the Resources I am offering for Free on the Net... My Tags here on LJ
Miscellaneous: Hmm... the past few days were kind of meh. I start feeling down again. Just reading, lying in bed/on the couch and wallowing in my own misery. *bleh* I am disgusted of myself for that.
On the upside I watched the Star Trek movies 1 to 6 with gusto... the 'Real Crew', Lieutenant Ilia, Montalban's Khan, George and Gracie.. etc. etc. BTW... are you Team 'Classic TOS' or Team 'Alternate Reboot'? :)
I found my Tarot Deck again.
Oh, and I had a discussion online with a Macho about FLR, but more on that next time as I need to send 2 more applications tonight for this month.
On a more somber note, I am still in shock about the deaths in the shooting of Saint-Just, France. By a frenchman no less (no, he was not muslim and/or a POC... he was a divorced, hardcore catholic, lawyer with 'military weapons' at home). To know that the youngest of the 3 dead Gendarmes was barely 21. So young! I just hope, that they had no young children and that these 3 are now in a better place than this crazy world. 😢
Hmm... and now that I think of it, on wednesday the inspectors will arrive to check on the smoke detectors in our flat. I almost forgot that. Will have to 'throw' my Dyson all over the place for a cleaner floor... kill all the dirt like Catwoman... :D
Will watch some good, old Jack in Witches of Eastwick now, and hope you all have a great start into the week before xmas. ;)
Listening to TV -> The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror XVI

...and you know what? I really enjoyed them! One of my guilty pleasures on LJ.
Are You Philosophically Eastern or Western? - You Are Eastern!
You see yourself as a very small part of the universe - and you're still trying to figure out what your role is. Discovering who you are and the meaning of your life is very important to you.
You see life as a journey, and you hope to learn as much as you possibly can. You believe that living a virtuous and reflective life is how to reach enlightenment. ( ... dum-di-dumCollapse )
If I could be a month, I'd be October. If I could be a day of the week, I'd be Saturday. If I could be a moment of the day, I'd be late in the Evening. If I could be a planet, I'd be a Mars. If I could be an animal, I'd be a rainbow-colour haired Unicorn big Dog. If I could be a piece of furniture, I'd be a big, comfy Wing-back chair. If I could be a drink, I'd be a cup of hot Cocoa, with vanilla syrup and whipped cream on top with some cinnamon. If I could be a musical instrument, I'd be a Harpsichord. If I could be an emotion, I'd be Love. If I could be a vegetable, I'd be an Eggpant/Aubergine. If I could be an element, I'd be Air. If I could be a song, I'd be "Carnival of the Animals: XIII. Le Cygne (The Swan)". If I could be food, I'd be my mother's Pilav with Arpa Şehriye in it. If I could be a part of the body, I'd be the Lips. If I could be a scent, I'd be the smell of Sandalwood & Patchouli. If I could be an object, I'd be a Knife. If I could be a school subject, I'd be (foreign) Languages. If I could be a cartoon character, I'd be a Maggie Simpson or Louise Belcher. If I could be a geometric figure, I'd be a Circle/Sphere. If I could be a number, I'd be 7. If I could be a country, I'd be Iceland. -
Today was good, I don't know why but everything was kind of laid back. I tried not to make myself think too much and just enjoy the start of the weekend.
She was the wife of my mother's older half-brother, and now she's dead. I can't remember a lot of her, but still enough that it came as a shock to me.
She is the same age as my mother. Or better yet, she Was. But she was way healtier than my mother. NO diabetes, NO heart problems, nothing... yet she died after lying in a hospital bed for about 4 weeks, receiving artificial ventilation.

So, 5/6 of the Year gone and by now we all know that 2016 isn't what we thought it would be...
So let's make this short and sweet! November Desktop Calendar. Simple, weird & with pale, fading colours. :)
I wanted to try my hand at a (semi-)pastel piece. With blurred lines between the colours. I used the Secondary Colours. Then I created a Polka Dot pattern, which I gave a old paper Texture. I tried to make it simple & not too warm. I hope you like it. But I also hope, that this weird Year ends fast...
To my F-List here @ LJ, in my next private update I will tell you what I did to be able again to not only post but to be able, to comment again... I still have a headache from it (and am so SORRY, that I didn't try it earlier). I made it... I think tomorow November will start with reading my LJ f-list first thing... so much to catch up on. :)
Yours, Nokta
P.S.: Feel free to share this Calendar. And don't forget, Constructive criticism and comments in general are always welcome!
P.P.S.: I know, I need a new keyboard, sorry for the missing letters...
I have seen 'roundups', 'lists' & 'compilations' like this for some time (or better, years) now & since I wanted to post more often on LJ, I thought I would try this for every Months from now on. So, here's my meagre start with September... the list is not complete because I forgot to write down a few movies. I'll try to do better in October... :D

* = I love this movie so much! I recommend it ** = I had seen it partially for a bit over 2 years ago, but won't count it as a rewatch because I only watched it a bit before falling asleep *** = Always a good thing to watch this one, ach 1996 was a good year in many ways... <3 **** = This Book is the Best! Very recommendable
So it's almost October, my month... my favourite Month!! Autumn is getting better, rainier, colder... :)
And with it all comes a new Desktop Calendar. This time I wanted to make a loew key piece, since I really just tried my hand on smaller things, partially using traditionally pieces, which I digitalised.
I hand-dyed and aged a new Din A4 size piece of paper then scanned it. I used not just tea, but red cabbage. I distressed parts of the paper with a tea bag, roughing its texure. Then I created an aged piece of paper with the same dimensions, but digitally.
Afterwards I did blend both textures together... with old folding marks, scratches and all. Adding the border and a few extras like the main star sign of the month (according to the Western Astronomy) I tried to give it the last final touches.
I wanted it to be a bit more simplistic, really focusing on mixing different mediae.
I hope you like it. Feel free to share this Calendar. And don't forget, Constructive criticism and comments in general are always welcome!
BTW, September went by so fast... don't you think?
