I’m a total beginner, will Art Club be too advanced for me?
Not at all! There are many beginners in Art Club who just got started with art who you’ll be able to connect to.
We make an effort to meet every artist where they are at. We want to provide support that matches your skill set and goals.
When we are directing you to our resources, we always consider where you are, and what will be the best fit for what you’re looking to do.
I work in 3D (+ other media) and I don’t see a lot of people making artwork like mine on this page, will I fit in?
That’s exactly the reason why we want you in Art Club! The diversity of art media that members work with tremendously enriches the artwork you get to see and engage with.
The great part of being in an artist community is that you can learn about media you’ve never even heard of. At the same time, you can pick up new information on media that you are already familiar with.
Do I have to always be making artwork to participate?
Nope! Often people assume that to improve, making the art is the best way to learn, and that the more time spent doing that, the better.
That’s not the case at all; so much learning happens when you’re not making the art.
Researching art supplies, learning about art history, reading art books, listening to discussions, and asking questions are all just as important as the making.
Plus, life will always get in the way at some point!
I’m worried that I won’t have enough time to participate in Art Club, should I still join?
Don’t worry about maintaining consistency in Art Club activities! You don’t have to participate all the time. We want Art Club to be a chill learning experience where you can do things at your own pace.
I have never used Discord before, is this a problem for Art Club?
Lots of members use Discord for the first time when they join. We will hold your hand every step of the way to get you started.
