Well, I did it...

After 20+ years of having long hair, and as I have gotten older, losing much of that hair, I decided it was time to go.  I've been thinking for a few years now that by my 45th birthday, I wanted to shave it bald.

Today, I did that.

Feels GREAT!

Don't get me wrong...I liked having long hair, and if I still had a full head of it, I'd have kept it.   But, I'd lost about 2/5's of it already, if not more.

The link above goes to my FB showing before / after photos.  They are open to public, so you don't even need an FB account to see them.

Iron Maiden - Atlanta - June 23, 2012

Tori and I went this past Saturday down to Aaron's Amphitheater in Atlanta and saw Iron Maiden!   Alice Cooper was the opening act.  Was probably the best concert I have ever been to...

Took several photos with my crappy "point and shoot" camera and my 'droid phone.   Venue didn't allow cameras with detachable lenses, so I had to leave my nice Canon DSLR at home.   So, the pics are fairly crappy...but you can see what is going on, more or less.

Pics are on my FB, but the album is open to public, so even if you don't have a FB account, you can view 'em.

9/11 - 10 years later...

10 years ago today.  Hard to believe it has been 10 years.   I'd worked the night before, and had already gone to bed and just fallen asleep when my girlfriend-at-the-time woke me up saying someone had flown a plane into the Pentagon.  I went downstairs and saw one of the WTC buildings on fire.  My first thought was "This stupid git doesn't know the difference between the WTC and the Pentagon!"  Then we watched the 2nd plane fly into the other WTC building.  Man...

Ponderables...

I sometimes wonder...  Are people, in general, incapable of telling the difference between something you "should" be able to do, and what is the "smart" thing to do?

Yeah, sure...I *should* be able to tape $100 bills all over my body and walk through downtown Atlanta at 1 in the morning, and not get mugged.  But, that sure as hell isn't the *smart* thing to do...
