Better Late Then Never.....

Ok so I know this is over a year old but I finally got a new computer for Christmas put in our SD card and had to blog about Maleaha's first Christmas.  We go to Jared's parents house on Christmas eve and then spend Christmas day with my family.  I was so excited to have a baby to celebrate Christmas with it just makes the holidays so much more fun!  I loved seeing her face when we took her in to see her gifts from Santa and even though she wasn't too big on opening presents she had a very good first Christmas and got spoiled!

Lately

So Maleaha is 21 months old and I can't believe I am almost going to have a two year old!  She already acts like one but I still picture her as a tiny baby.  I find it amazing when we go places and she remembers right where things are, then I have to remind myself she is almost two and she is growing up!  Some of Maleaha's favorite things are Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Doc Mcstuffins, candy, my phone, puppies, make up, babies, coloring, and my wallet.  Some of my favorite words she has picked up lately are Christmas, Santa, Jesus, grandpa, and backpack she also has down some Spanish words like ya no I (not sure of the spelling) but it means its all gone, donde stas, sientate and so much more and she understands almost everything her dad tells her in Spanish.  Even though Maleaha keeps me on my toes and is a handful sometimes I still wish she could stay little forever! Thankful

So because I missed the boat in November in saying what I was grateful for, I want to count my many blessings and be grateful for the things I do have.  I am so glad that I have the little things that we all take for granted everyday like a warm home, electricity, and even technology, but what I am thankful for the most is my family.  Jared has been so great with letting me stay home with Maleaha and work on my schooling. Maleaha has been the greatest blessing in my life and has taught me more the last two years than I have learned my whole life and I don't know what I would do without her.  I am also so grateful for my family from my parents, my sisters, in-laws, and nieces and nephews and close friends.  I love spending time with family and it is so fun when we all are together!  I have so much more to be thankful for and this holiday season just reminds me I need to be thankful for what I have and stop complaining so much!  I am so excited for the Christmas and New Years and getting to spend time with loved ones!

Disney On Ice

For my birthday I decided I wanted to take Maleaha to Disney On Ice and of course I wanted to go too!  I was so excited for her because she loves Mickey Mouse and Minnie!  It was so cute to see her reaction when Minnie and Mickey came out! She was reaching for them saying mouse house mouse house all excited!  She did so great and was entertained pretty much though the entire show!  We had so much fun and it was a great way to spend my 24th birthday!

Pumpkin Walk!

A few weeks ago we decided to go to Logan on Saturday (which we do almost every weekend) and I am so thankful for Jared who is more then willing to go too! We both secretly miss it and I realized just how much I love and miss being minutes away from our families. Anyways it was little Alexia's birthday party, the Aggie football game, and the pumpkin walk so we had to go! We had so much fun! Maleaha got to take a swing at the piñata all by herself and she actually enjoyed the pumpkins at the pumpkin walk or maybe it was just the fire inside? Her favorite part was seeing the her daddy as Mickey Mouse!

Halloween 2012

So this year for Halloween I decided Maleaha was going to be a zebra.  I had seen a couple of cute crochet beanie hats on pintrest and I knew I had to buy a pattern early because I am a very beginner crocheter! I started probably the middle of September, and finished the day before Halloween, but boy did I pick probably the hardest pattern I could find, but I absolutely loved it and so does Maleaha!

Maleaha and I had a pretty eventfull Halloween, we first went to Lee's Marketplace in Ogden and they gave out great treats like chocolate milk, carrots, caramel corn YUM! Then we headed off to Jared's work where we had lots of chili, hot dogs, and fun trick-or-treating around the office!  We then headed off to Logan to trick-or-treat at both Grandma and Grandpas house. Maleaha ended up tick-or-treating with her cousin Daion and Yari, and of course Jared me and Maleaha's aunt Jess tagged along.  She did great trick-or-treating, she wouldn't actually say it but loved when people let her pick out her own candy!  She now gets a bucket and says trick-or-treat to try and get more candy is always asking for more "tandy"!  I love her she is such a cute little Zebra!

Back To Blogging

I seriously need to get back into blogging.  I hate that Maleaha has accomplished all these milestones since she has turned one and I haven't documented one thing! I know terrible Mom!  I am just so overwhelmed  with moving to a new city, not knowing anyone, taking 14 credits, and just being a mom to a spunky little 20 month old!  I hope to get back into the swing of things quickly! My laptop has completely stopped working and so I am using Jareds and for some reason the disc or the card reader doesn't work to let me upload pictures, so I can't really backtrack yet but for now I will have to use the pictures on my phone until we get something new! Any recimendations on either another laptop or just getting a desktop? We have been talking about it but aren't sure! As for me my little baby has somehow transformed into a big girl that is talking so much! I can't believe that she is almost two and how much of a smarty pants she is (just my opinion)!  I am going to try and at least update once a week, but for today here is Maleaha looking all grown up after bath time today making me miss my little chunky baby!
