Character Information
Character Name: Momo Kisaragi
Canon: Kagerou Project
Canon Point: just after leaving the amusement park.
Is your character Dead, Undead or Alive: Kagepro has a bit of a funky canon - Momo technically died when she was a young girl due to drowning, but regained her life by escaping the Heat Haze with the Captivating Snake possessing her. She lives and breathes like a person but is completely unaware of the snake, so how the technicians sort her is up to you guys.

History:
At the Kagerou Project wiki + Pixiv encyclopedia! But since both are kind of lacking in detail, I'll expand.

The wiki leaves off at Momo's beginnings as an idol, but a few things happen to her between then and her canon point - a lot of things, actually. Momo shoots to stardom and becomes a top idol, but she's unaware of her actual power as something she can utilize. Because of it's uncontrollable tendencies to activate, she is unable to have a moment's peace and walk around in pubic (as seen at the beginning of Kisaragi Attention). On August 14th, after running away from a crowd that she drew, she is cornered by Kido and brought back to the Mekakushi Dan's hideout. It's there that she meets Kano and Mary, and the three of them give her a more in-depth answer to why she attracts such abnormal amounts of attention - her possession of the "Captivating Eyes".

She is asked to join their group and accepts, but not before Mary accidentally spills a pot of tea and breaks her cell phone. The Dan accompany her to the local shopping mall to buy a replacement (with Kido using her Concealing Eyes ability to cancel out Momo's ability and hide her from the public), where they get caught up in a hostage situation set up by a terrorist group. With their powers combined, Momo, her brother Shintaro, and the Dan are able to release the hostages and incapacitate the terrorists for police retrieval. However, Shintaro is grazed by a stray bullet in the midst of it and passes out. Everyone brings him to the hideout to recover, and the next day Momo tells him that she has been inducted as the 5th member of the Mekakushi Dan. They force Shintaro into the group as the 7th member (with Ene, a cyber girl living in Shintaro's electronic devices as the 6th member), and plan an outing to the amusement park.

Personality:
Momo Kisaragi is a bit of a strange girl. While it's true that this is obvious through her superhuman power to attract people's attention, she as a person does not fit the average description of a teenage girl. She's an abnormal girl that was thrown into abnormal circumstances, and, despite the hardships that come with it, it's where she thrives the most.

The best place to start with why Momo acts the way she is is to dig back into her past. Before Momo was an idol, and even before she was possessed by her snake, she was a completely regular girl. While her sub-par performance in school and general presence as a younger sibling were her defining traits, Momo's brother Shintaro was very much the star of the Kisaragi family. With his genius-tier IQ, he quickly (but unintentionally) overshadowed Momo's accomplishments, and she developed an inferiority complex that sparked her desire "to receive attention from others". Said complex carried with her to a fateful trip to the beach on August 15th; it was here that she drowned in the ocean with her father, allowing them to enter the Heat Haze as partners. Her father sacrificed his life for her, and Momo had her wish granted in the form of her eye power.

But as old the saying goes, be careful what you wish for.

With the sudden, uncontrollable attention she began to receive from even the most mundane tasks, Momo was quickly scouted as a potential idol by a talent agency. While she initially declined the offer, her mounting responsibility towards her family after her father's death drove her to accept in order to relieve her mother of the pressure that was beginning to take a toll on her. This is an important part of Momo's character - despite her apparent air-headedness and strange habits, she's quick to dispose of negative feelings and help others in any way that she can.

This desire to help others in a pinch can be seen in various points in canon, but the most obvious examples are during the hostage situation that she encountered with the Dan and the events of Otsukimi Recital. In the former, Momo is able to stay calm and focused while developing a plan that will keep all of the hostages in the department store safe. Along with Kido, she develops a plan that plays to the advantages of everyone's eye powers (including her own). This development is the kickoff to Momo being able to control her powers, which she feels is a duty to not only herself, but to those around her. In the latter, she is steadfast and determined to help Hibiya cope with having the girl he was in love with sacrifice herself for him in the Heat Haze. Despite having not known Hibiya for long, she wants to see him accept his eye power and achieve happiness. This is also true in episode 11 of the anime, where she is able to achieve the same result of cheering Hibiya up while also working with Kido to signal for help after being captured.

Momo's desire to help others can probably be stemmed from her wish to have "real" friends. After receiving her power and becoming an idol, the unwavering attention she received from the media and the general public kept her from being able to make any friends. Because of this, she was quick to accept Kido's offer to join the Mekakushi Dan and consider every member as a friend, despite only knowing them for a short amount of time. By finding a group of people that understood her and accepted her, she was able to keep moving forward and do what an idol does best - inspiring people and cheering them on.

All in all, it can be a bit tough to get a full judgement on Momo without knowing her full story. Though she's quite the oddball, she can always be relied on not only lighten a situation, but to take responsibility for people that she cares for.

Items on your character at canon point: a regular ol' cell phone.
Abilities, Strengths and Weaknesses: As explained in her history above, Momo was possessed by the Captivating Snake upon death by drowning at a young age. By escaping the Heat Haze with the snake keeping her alive, she was given the ability of the Captivating Eyes. Simply put, they allow her to attract abnormal amounts of attention to herself (or whatever she focuses on) from others, regardless of their personal preferences. Momo does not have nearly as good of a control on her power as the other members of the Mekakushi Dan, but since learning that her power is a tangible thing that can be controlled, she's been practicing to keep it from randomly activating.

If you had asked anyone on the street about the songs that idols perform, it would probably be a common assumption that some of the best ones out there wrote their own songs. After all, they were songs that were not only catchy, but had lyrics that totally came from the heart. Nothing like that could possibly be engineered by an entertainment agency, and that was why Momo was determined to write her next new single without any help from professional writers. She had been an official member of the Mekakushi Dan for a couple of months now, and the things she had gone through with her newfound friends had given her what she interpreted as "a genius-tier stroke of inspiration!". Writing a song for her teammates had sounded like a good idea in her head, but locking herself in her room with a pen and a notebook while trying to think of lyrics was proving to be much more difficult than she had thought.

"Let's see... 'the feeling in my chest gets warm, like a spicy hot pot'? No, no, that's not it!"

After ripping out what felt like the millionth piece of paper out of her book, Momo groaned and rubbed her head frantically. Maybe it was because she had been at this for what felt like hours and was starting to get hungry, but things were starting to take a turn towards being food-related. But she couldn't eat now - she had to focus!

Sighing, she picked up her pen once more and drummed it against the book.

"How I feel when I'm with everyone... well, it's like I'm not alone, right? And I couldn't even go out in public before. Like that day..."

In the shopping district, through back alleys
Ah, my heart is kind of starting to pound.

She began to remember what had happened on that hot August day. Right... it was before she knew about her power. Thinking about the disaster that happened afterwards made her cringe, but maybe...

But then a single, tiny gust of air blows away my hood
and there’s nothing I can do - it’s all eyes on me!

Thinking back to how she had felt back then was a little bit hard. She didn't want to think about being lonely, but it seemed to be filling the pages of her book with ideas. But after a few minutes of reminiscing, her thoughts began to shift - to Kido, Mary, and all of the friends she had made in the last few months. They had reminded her that she had people in her corner, and that she didn't have to go through her hardships by herself.

If it's "harsh," then change it -
You know you're not alone!

"That's it! Why didn't I think of that before?! Duh, Momo!"

She felt a bit silly by talking to herself, but just thinking about how the Dan had welcomed her and changed her was getting her excited. That's what she had to write about - catchy or not, it came from her heart.
