Time to de-clutter

I have too much perfume, especially considering that I'm wearing hair gloss more than actual perfume these days. Perhaps you can give these lovely perfumes a better home?

I take any flavor of Paypal and will consider mailed checks/money orders if needed. I'd prefer if you bought multiple items, but I won't enforce that--if there's only one you want, then there's only one you want.

I'm more interested in selling than swapping, but I do have a wishlist here. Just in case we can make a deal.

My feedback is available here or on the BPAL forums under puck_nc and I have a 100% rating on eBay.

Reviews for the BPAL items can be found at bpal.org--use the search engine and limit it by titles only and reviews. Reviews for the Possets scents can be found here--again, use the search engine for titles.

My prices are set partially on availability and partially on what I paid. If there's something you're really eager for, make me an offer and I promise to listen, if not agree.

Unless otherwise indicated, everything is full.

Shipping:

- Inside the US, perfume only - $4 for most purchases

- Inside the US, BPTP bottles - $7 for most purchases

- International - I'll give you an exact quote for postage first

- Free shipping if you spend $50 or more

First person to (1) spend $75 or more and (2) tell me they like chocolatey scents in bath products gets a special goodie!

One year ago today. *grins*

The Tumblr folks have pulled together a month-long celebration of H/Hr. You can find related posts with the tag "harmony month 2015". We'll see if I have time to pull something together or not.

The Ones That Hurt

People die every day. That includes famous people. I've noticed the rhythm getting a little faster, a little steadier as I get older myself and the famous people who die are less often just names I know and more often those whose work I know. Even then, it's mostly regret that they aren't here to continue doing the things for which I admired them.

But sometimes it really, really hurts.

I was a huge fan of "Mork and Mindy" in my pre-teen and early teen years. I wanted to be Pam Dawber because she was beautiful and she got to hang out with this good-looking and absolutely crazy guy. And then I followed along as he switched to movies, some of which I could rewatch daily as he put together yet another character that was always so much more than just funny. Dead Poets Society, Good Morning, Vietnam, Aladdin, Mrs. Doubtfire, Awakenings, The Birdcage... He spanned generations and will be sorely missed.

I wish I could say I'm surprised by the preliminary reports of suicide. Even when he was at his peak in a role, especially when playing a character with some damage, the things that drove him to drugs and alcohol were always there, under the surface. I think the only major role that fully masked it was Aladdin, since it was just his voice.

O CAPTAIN! my Captain! our fearful trip is done;
The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won;
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring:
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills;
For you bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding;
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head;
It is some dream that on the deck,
You’ve fallen cold and dead.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will;
The ship is anchor’d safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;
From fearful trip, the victor ship, comes in with object won;
Exult, O shores, and ring, O bells!
But I, with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

Home stretch on another story

I'm on a bit of a roll, having finished the charity project (please go here if you're interested in donating $10 to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and getting not only my story but a nice collection of fics from several fandoms, none of which will be available publicly before December) and now close to being done with the Sherlock fanfic.

I went to add "next chapter" links and discovered that I managed not to post three middle chapters. *facepalm*

So...if you were interested but confused, you can now read the whole thing so far. Start here and you'll be taken to the correct chapter to read through it all.

I'm thinking one, maybe two more chapters, and this will be done and I can concentrate on "Perils" for a while.
