Berklee's Big Day

Image
This Sunday was Berklee's baby blessing. It was a special day and Bryce gave such a beautiful blessing. Berklee must have really felt the Spirit bc she did so good and did not make a peep!

I love Halloween!

Berklee loooooves her naps on Grandpa's tummy
Image
I have to admit....this costume is our dog's costume from last year : / Berklee was still too small to fit into most other costumes.

I think it turned out pretty cute though! We love our little pumpkin!

Picture overload!

Image
So if you can't tell already, Berklee's most distinct feature is her BIG brown eyes. She loves to open them as wide as possible. Who knows. Maybe she feels she can see better that way but it's pretty entertaining to us!

The Berklee Story

Well I thought I'd give a brief overview of how our little Berklee came down to earth. Things went very well and for the most part, I had a very easy delivery. Wednesday morning I started having contractions that progressed very quickly as the hours went on. I ended up going to see my doctor, at about 4pm, b/c I was having really bad contractions that were vey close together. (I didn't want to be one of those who got sent home from the hospital cause it wasn't time). The hospital nurses ended up teasing us for not going straight to the hospital for how advanced I was. Anyway, my doctor checked me and sent me straight to the hospital. Things progressed very quickly there and I ended up having her at 1:24am on Thursday morning. The last time a nurse had checked me, I was at 9cm's and 100% effaced. When they came back in to see how I had progressed, they found that her head was already partially out and that it was show time! They asked how I hadn't noticed that or felt anything....let's just say my epidural worked wonders! I couldn't feel a livin thing! They hurried and set things up and I only had to push about 3 times. She came out perfect and there were no complications. She was 6lbs, 11oz and was a teeenie little thing! We were very blessed and lucky to have such a smooth delivery and couldn't ask for anything better. Here are a few pictures....

We're all waiting.....

Image
Our bags are packed......
Image
And now we're just waiting...
Image
I am officially due in 6 days and have nothing to do but wait! I am off work for the next week so I am really hoping Berklee decides to grace us with her presence then! Poor Bryce is driving me insane asking every 2 seconds if I am contracting yet. He's a bit excited. Maybe she's just like her mamma and does not want any part of this fun heat wave we're in! We are all just ready for her so hopefully she will come soon!

My new diaper bag!

Image
Ok so I loooove my new diaper bag! It's so me isn't it? Lime green insides! It's so stinking practical with all the pockets and compartments too! Gotta love when style and practicality come together.

It's a backpack or.......

BAG! I'm a little obsessed. That's what happens when you are just sitting around waiting and have nothing else to do!

Baby Shower #1

Image
This past week, my Mother-in-law threw me a ward/her friend baby shower. Sadly, minus the few pictures we got before it started, we all totally forget to take some along the way. At least this gives a small glance of how it turned out.
Image
For being in the middle of the summer, we had a pretty good turn out. I got ALOT of cute outfits, shoes..oh and practical stuff too!
Image
And P.S. I am being brave by posting these pictures of myself. Not too fond of the wale"ish" look that I now sport : )

Sneak Preview...

The room is not done yet but piece by piece, the baby's room is finally coming along. I started from the beginning and had all of the bedding made from scratch. We picked out millions of fabrics, well it felt that way for me, and coordinated them all into a pretty good combo! There were many who slaved over helping me coordinate and making all this for me so thank you to those people! This quilt was made by Bryce's sweet aunt. It turned out so fun!
Image
These pillows were also made from scratch!
Image
With the left over fabric, we covered this cute little lamp!
Image
And finally, this beast of a piece of furniture was the hardest part! Bryce's sweet mom volunteered to spray paint it for us (it was white). With the awful hot weather and random monsoon storms, it was quite the project. She woke up super early to sand, spray, sand, spray....It turned out amazing though! It was so worth the wait! What a great Craigslist find!
Image
Since we live with our inlaws, they were nice enough to lend us half of this room for our little baby. As a result, we cannot do too much to the walls since it is just a loaner : ) The other half of the room has bunk beds for guests. It's a very multi-functional room!

The Bunker Family Trip to North Carolina

ImageImage
The time finally came for the Bunker Family Trip to NC. We all met in Maryland, where one of Bryce's brother and family lives. All of the Bunker kids live spread out around the country so we all came from different places and at different times. Once we all drove from our separate places, we met up to stay in this amazing house on the beach. It had 8 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, a pool, jacuzzi, and every other fun thing you could think of. These pictures are taken off our balcony over looking the beach. The houses were on a 4 wheel drive beach so you had to go off roading to get to each place. This area is known for the wild horses that rome everywhere...including on our back porch and in our yard. It was absolutely gorgeous. There was a pretty big group of us so I don't have any pictures of us all together. We did take some family pictures but the kids were basically the only ones who would pose for my camera! The trip was a blast, yet regardless of where we are, it's always fun when EVERYONE gets together!

California and Camping

Image
How cute is this? We went to CA to stay with Bryce's brother and sister-in-law. While we were there, we got to spend a lot of time with this cutie, Scarlet. I walked in and caught them both zoned out into whatever was on TV. I think her Uncle Bryce has been rubbing off on her....
Image
This is her attempt at eating somewhat of solid food....I'm not really sure how much actually went into her mouth.
Image
Our friends, Kyle and Sydney, invited us to Taylor with them for a few days. Little did Sydney and I know, the trip turned out to be a guys fishing trip. We were lucky enough to tag along and spend hours watching them catch absolutely NOTHING.
Image
At least Bryce had a good attitude about it.....most of the time.

Random events from the month!

It's been quite the baby fever around our office lately. We had 4 pregnant girls and one in the process of adopting. As a result, lot's of baby showers! This is a few of us RME girls at Angie's shower. We're now down to 2 remaining! I'm the very last : (
Image
Bryce recently had a tooth extracted and was told to ice on and off. This was his homemade contraption to keep the ice pack on his face without having to hold it....creative i guess?

Surprise Surprise!

Image
Alright so I finally have something worth posting about! I am almost 6 months pregnant! I've had multiple friends tell me to post about it but I've been a little behind on that (hence first posting at almost 6 months along). We are so excited and can't wait to meet.....HER! Yes we're having a GIRL! Wahoo!
Image
This is an old ultrasound cause my latest one was of her behind!
