Great Day

Today is a wonderful day, it truly is, four weeks after little Abram was born I'm wearing a size smaller pants than even before he was conceived. I had to put that down on my online journal because nothing can ruin this day other than maybe the presidential debate tonight. Love this day!

Baby Abram!

Our sweet little boy has arrived. He was born on 9/5/12 and weighed in at a whopping 9 lbs. 5 oz. Labor and delivery where easy as can be. The doctor broke my water around 9:30 and I delivered at 6:18 that night. I pushed for a whole 8 minutes it was great. The nurse that I had by my side all day (whom I loved she was wonderful) had to go deliver a baby in the next room. My doctor had come to check on me and though the baby could be a little further down before I started to push (it's this thing called rest and descend) I basically sit there while the baby descends. My doctor said he would be back in about twenty minutes and he was, and it took me eight pushes and about 8 minutes to get Abram here. His little face was a bit swollen, but other than that he was great. They did have to take him to the nursery for awhile because he wasn't crying very well. They ran all kinds of tests, but he was fine, he just needed a few days to learn how to cry, because he knows how now. He is a very laid back easy going baby. The only time he gets upset is when eating and I'm not fast enough. He looks so much like Juliana that there is definetely no question there brother and sister.

The happenings

I can't believe this is really true, but Juliana started 1st grade last Tuesday. The worst part about her starting 1st grade was that I couldn't take her. I happened to be in the hospital that morning. My blood pressure spiked the day before and I had to spend two nights in the hospital while they determined if they should take the baby. The one good thing that did come of it, we found out for sure that it is a boy! Brian took Juliana to her first day of school and got a whopping two pictures really guys, she was a little overwhelmed and started to cry which made me feel even worse. I really wanted to take her to school. I also have to give my mom thanks for doing Juliana's hair for the first and second days of school. It looked very cute and she loved it. I've been on bed rest sense so my sweet mother-in-law has been here taking care of us, and she has been taking Juliana to school. I had to miss back to school night also, which I don't like to do because I really like knowing what is happening at the school and in her class room. Hopefully this baby comes soon so I can get back to doing what I need to do.

Juli's Birthday Party

My baby turned six this year and I really can't figure out where the time went. We have a family rule that every even birthday she gets a friend birthday party. Juliana loves her birthday she was planning her party in Feb. She is already planning her 8 year old party--not joking--. She changed her mind so many times that I finally decided that we would have a water party. She loves going to the pool and wanted to for her birthday, but being as I was 7 1/2 months pregnant I didn't want to go watch eight little girls at the pool so we had a water party in our backyard. It was actually really fun. I had water balloon pinatas that they had to break open. There was three balloons for every girl. I was amazed that all seven girls that we invited came so it was great. We started off eating cake and ice cream. I figured it would be better to get out of the way before everyone was wet. After that we did the pinatas. We went from pinatas to hot potato. It was so funny. When they got out they had to break the water balloon and they would throw it in the middle of the circle to see how many of the girls they could get wet. We moved from that into a balloon toss. The girls couldn't wait to get to the slip n' slide so they were just throwing the balloons to pop them. The slip n' slide was a tarp we had that I hung to 2 liter bottles with holes in over the top. We also had the sprinkler going in the middle so the girls got pretty wet. They loved it. They were running around screaming and jumping in the water. It was fun to see how much fun they had. Juliana had so much fun it was great. She got a lot of fun presents too. We opened presents last and then took everyone home. It was a great day, I was worn out, and hot but it was worth it.

Father's Day

I'm totally behind, but let's talk about father's day. We went to Price and spent the day with my mom and dad. It was great! We had dinner that my mom made which means it was just about the best thing on earth. I don't know why but I can't find anyone whose food I like better than my moms. We really just hung out and talked with my folks which might sound boring, but with my dad's dry sense of humor everything becomes pretty funny. Juliana had a blast playing dress ups and barbies.

Easter 2012

Easter is my favorite holiday. I still remember when I was young and going to my grandma Hunter's house and the Easter egg hunts we did. I loved it. I also love watching Juliana running around trying to find eggs. We always go to my parents or everyone comes here. This year we went to my parents house in Price. It takes three of us about an hour to fill all of the eggs. My mom has more than five hundred eggs for five grandchildren. There was around fifty dollars hidden in the eggs and she had prizes to give out too. We try to keep in so that everyone gets about the same which worked pretty well this year all the kids ranged from getting $7.00-13.00 so it was pretty equal. We have so many eggs that we have to just put them in the grass. My parents had just had their grass arriated so my dad would make little mounds of dirt to hide the eggs in. We didn't find them all, we know because about a week ago my parents found two eggs in their yard. One had money in it so sad. I think every year we lose 5-10 eggs that are just never found. We also dyed eggs. The kids loved this. They each got to dye three eggs. We put gloves on them and let them go at it. The littlest one doesn't like to have her hands dirty and she freaked out even though she had gloves on. It was cute. We came home Saturday so that we could actually be home with Brian for Easter. He had to work Easter weekend. The Easter bunny made his appearance. It took Juli awhile to find where he had hid her basket that sneaky Easter Bunny. He put a coat over it in the mud room and she could not find it. She got a new umbrella, and mosaic art, a couple of outfits, an Easter dress, and some other things. She loved her umbrella she is really loves umbrellas. She broke her other umbrella because she played with it so much. This one didn't really last that much longer. She loves them. She uses them to block the sun, and the rain. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter we sure did.
