This community's profile should cover all of the basics. All posts in this journal are automatically friends-locked unless individually reset otherwise. I know this comm is potentially a dangerous concept, but I also run marysues and metaquotes (among others) so you'd better believe I can kick ass if necessary. :) I recently started keeping notes on who I've banned and why, and when I get around to it I'll bring some of those in here.

And if I may make a recommendation: whenever I ban someone from a comm, I also ban them from my other comms AND from my own personal journal at the same time, ie. like this:

ban_set troll
ban_set troll from marysues
ban_set troll from metaquotes

And so forth. Hmm. If you run multiple comms, you could theoretically set up a text file somewhere containing a string of ban_sets for ALL of your comms. You'd just open it, global-replace the last troll's name, paste the lot into the console, and wave goodbye. I've toyed with the idea myself, but some of my comms are so small that there's no point. Still, it might work for you.
