Learning, research et al
I will admit that It does come in handy for learning and a certain amount of fun but I keep its usage down to a bare minimum and never for writing purposes. When stuck on a technical issue I’ll occasionally turn to it for pointers, then do my own research and write my own code afterward. This site is a testament to that approach.
