Christmas
The traditional coming down the stairs picture. Obviously the camera didn't want to cooperate - this is the best I got.
And since someone else couldn't listen and be patient...this is the best picture I got of his reaction to Santa's present.
This isn't really when we were opening the stockings, but it is what came next.
Luke really loved(s) his Mr. Santa Potato head
Kurt (and Luke) were super excited that Santa brought the "Lightening MacQueen scooter just like I wanted!" He's already trying to make it do cool tricks when he rides.
Besides the presents Santa brought, everything else was for both of them. It worked out well- the toys can't be claimed as "MINE" by anyone. It keeps that argument out of their fights.
The boys got some friends to add to their "Cars" collection - some guy, Doc, "Chef," the King (and his trailer), Sally, Chick Hicks, Luigi, GG (Guido) and "Rusteze" McQueen and "Radiator Springs" McQueen. And then Kurt bought "new" Mater with his Christmas money.
Here's Daddy setting up our Christmas presents- I was trying to surprise him with this, but I guess I didn't hide it well enough. Kurt loves to watch us "workout" on the WiiFit. He'll ask me, "Do you wanna work out now?" For Kurt it's just as good as doing the games himself. It's really cute to watch him "run" the obstacle course right next to Brandon.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas
Kurt was very excited to get Santa's cookies out this year. It was probably because of the awesome plate we got to put them on!
(And thanks for making them for me Jodie :) )
Don't tell Santa he spilled them on the floor...it was only for a few seconds
New Jammies
Reading 'Twas
Luke really was more excited than he appears to be. He's been reading this book everyday since Christmas- LOVES "Ho-Ho."

Christmas Eve
We spent Christmas Eve with some other families that stayed here instead of traveling to see family. We had lots of delicious food and fun and had a visit from Santa.
We also did a white elephant for the adults where we saw one of the best gifts ever!

Christmas Carols, by Kurt
"frosting the snowman had a happy happy year..."
"jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way, so much fun it is to ride..."
"rudolph the red nose reindeer, he had a very shiny nose, one christmas eve, santa came to say "ho ho ho" please come guide my sleigh tonight..."
not a christmas carol, but heard at our house this month...
"I don't want to be on the naughty list!! I wanna get off!"

6th Anniversary
Babysitter - check
Restaurant Reservations - check
Puke - unexpected...
The boys decided to foil our plans :) by spending the night throwing up. Who wants to have a nice night out alone when you can be at home mopping up puke? Then to top it all off, they passed it on to us so we could join in the fun as well. What sweet boys we have...

Tannenbaum Forest
We took a trip out to the forest again this year. Santa wasn't there today, but he did leave his sleigh for the boys to play in. That's our friend Vince with them.

Gingerbread Fun
Selfish mom that I am...wanted to have the gingerbread house all to my self this year. So the boys used graham crackers.

Snow Party!
Every year, on the first real snow (more than a dust that stays for more than a few hours) we have a snow party! This year I thought we'd make snowflakes. And instead of making them out of paper we tried marshmallows.
They really enjoyed eating them after we were done.
Next comes donuts and hot chocolate. We miss Krispy Kreme's, but our alternative wasn't so bad this time around.
I think he didn't like getting his hands all sticky so he just dove right in.

Turkey Day
For some reason the only pictures we have are of dessert. Dinner was delicious and plentiful, so I'm sad I have no pictures of the food or the company. We had a wonderful time with our friends- it was good to have a full house for the holidays.
We helped the kids make candy turkeys. Most of the turkey parts got eaten before they were assembled which was funny. But really, what did I expect from the 2 and 3 year olds?
Brandon made me a lemon meringue pie (even though I know he really didn't want to). It was his best meringue yet - also very delicious.
We also had chocolate angel pie, Derby pie, pumpkin pie, and pecan pie.
Kurt really enjoyed his red filled Oreo...

Hats
He also likes hats...
This day, Daddy and Kurt were going out and Luke thought he was going too. He was very sad for a minute when the door was shut before he made it out. But after donning the Leo glasses, he managed a smile :)
