Nursery Snacks

Luke hadn't eaten any of his snack and it was almost time to clean it up and start the lesson.
the teachers asked him why he hadn't eaten anything - wondering maybe that he didn't like it?
He said to them, "we haven't said the prayer yet."

Christmas Morning

Kurt finally woke up around 8am, and by 8:30 Kurt couldn't wait for Luke anymore and we woke him up. They were so excited to come downstairs.
Image
Luke took his time and kinda rolled himself down the stairsImage
This kids been riding on anything he can find - his pajamas, his stuffed animal snake, etc. We decided Santa might be able to get him the right animal to ride
ImageImage
Kurt couldn't believe we made him sit upstairs and wait for Luke to open his present. Needless to say, he was very excited to be allowed down!
Image
Image
No looks of excitement for him...
Image
It was more "matter of fact" business for him. Race track, check. Turning track, check. :)
ImageImage
They were so excited, they wanted to play. So play we did :)
ImageImage
Then they opened their presents from their cousins.
Aunt Emma made them superhero masks to match the capes from Aunt Amy last year.

Image
This is how Luke prefers to wear his :)
Image
Luke LOVES his new horsey friends! (Thanks Boog)
Image
Kurt opened his present from Sully, and was a little disappointed at this point,
"What? Crackers?! Ah man, I don't want crackers for Christmas!"
Image
It took a bit of convincing that he needed to open the box to see if it really had crackers in it. He was really excited to see what was actually in it - Kinex race cars!

Christmas

The boys surprised and spoiled me with a Bosch
Image
complete with Food Processor
Image
and cookie paddles
Image
Add a few movies...
Image
a few games...
ImageImageImage
and a few books...
Image
You get a pretty excellent day :)
But why end with just that? How about an excellent night?
Let's eat the gingerbread house!!
Image
Image
Or destroy it?
Image
Image
Demolition complete :)
Image
Then we finished off the night with the final presents
Image
"Whoa!!"

Christmas Eve

We went to see a movie in the afternoon and then came home to eat some Chinese takeout (not good Rexburg...). After dinner I snuck upstairs and "discovered" that Santa's elves had been to our house while we were away!
The boys ran upstairs and found on their beds...some fancy new jammies!

Just finishing up Santa's treats (my helpers disappeared about halfway through)

The reading of "Twas"
Image
Then we put out Santa's treat
Image
I told the boys to grab their stockings so they could get them hung up. While Kurt was hanging his, I looked down and saw Luke.
Image
He decided he'd rather wear his :)
Image
Image
Image
And their final task was to lay out their Santa Bag.
Image
Daddy got the boys up to bed, and then it was my turn to finish everything up. It looks like Santa finished up too
Image
"The children were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of sugarplums danced in their heads..."

We went down a few days before Christmas to celebrate with Grammy and Opa.
Grammy LOVES to read the boys stories!

Here are the boys opening their present for them

The boys are getting really excited...

Everyone is getting even more excited...
Image
And now we're SUPER excited!!

After countless hours I finally finished the Bascom Family video transfer project. Now everyone can enjoy hours and hours of dance recitals and piano recitals and many hilarious family parties. We're pretty sure it was a big hit :)
