Easter

E.B. "hid" their baskets just a little this year (usually they're right outside their doors) and it really confused the boys.

Luke was very excited to have gotten this movie

Handsome boys (and they're all mine!)
Image

This is the best "family" shot we could get - We were quickly loosing boys by this time.
Image

After pictures we went to find all the eggs.
Clark wasn't quite sure why today was any different than the other days he spent playing with plastic eggs
Image

Until I opened it up for him
Image

Then things were more exciting
Image

And he was eager to go get another one

Luke found his

 Kurt found his
Image

Then together they hunted for the gold and silver eggs

And they found them!

We finished the day off with a delicious dinner (& raspberry jello with cream cheese "frosting")
Image

The boys and I tried to make a couple of our crescent rolls into "resurrection rolls."  They sort-of worked. :)

5, 4, 3, 2, 1 BLASTOFF!

Kurt and Brandon have been working on a rocket off and on since his birthday in August.  The cub scouts in our ward made rockets for pack meeting and he was able to finish his so he could launch his the same night.

Luke loved trying to catch the rockets and even learned a little bit of math from the Bhattarai's as they showed he and Ruby how to calculate how high the rockets were flying.

It was such a fun night!

Everything Green

Kurt's trap - he says for sure to catch a leprechaun.  It was "spring loaded" on top so that when they tried to take the gold coin, it would launch them backwards into the funnel and down the rainbow slide.
Image

Luke's trap. His plan is to lure the leprechaun's into the green bag with golden coins.  Once they jump inside to get the gold, gravity will pull the bag down and cinch it up so they can't get back out.
Image

Luke's sign says, "Watch out for gold in the pit."
Image

Alas, they escaped again!
Image

Image

They also did their usual mischief after escaping!
Image

Image

Even Clark couldn't escape their shamrock attack
Image

Messes all over...
Image

Image

They must have played a song or two
Image

They even turned PJ pants inside out!
Image

Luke is taking a peek to see if they're in there...
Image

No leprechaun, but he did find a small little jacket.
Image

Since they didn't catch a leprechaun, they're determined to find the pot of gold
Image

Luke's hot on the trail...
Image

Victory!

Crazy Hair Day

It was Dr. Seuss week at school this week.  We had Silly Sock Day (Fox in Socks), Orange Day (the Lorax), Hat Day (the Cat in the Hat), PJ Day (the Sleep Book) and Crazy Hair Day (Daisy-Head Mayzie).  He really wanted to have orange hair for crazy hair day, so we came up with a "stegosaurus do."  He was pretty excited about it.

Would you eat them here or there?

When we would read Green Eggs and Ham, Kurt used to say, "I would never eat green eggs and ham!" He seemed to have an aversion to foods being the "wrong" color.  But today, Dr. Seuss's birthday, I asked him, "Would you like green eggs and ham?" and he said he would try them.

Then he tasted them and he said, "Green eggs tastes (pronounced taste-ez) just like regular (pronounced reg-a-lar) eggs! I like them!"
