Coal Mining Boys

Our Family History center did a family bingo game to help families be more interested in their family history.  One of the activities was to learn about coal boys and the work they had to do.  The boys got to "become" coal boys for a bit.

Teacher Appreciation

I was Kurt's class room mom so I was in charge of their bulletin board come teacher appreciation week.  I chose to do Charlotte's Web because it was a book they'd read in class that year, and it's a fantastic book.  Thanks to Brandon's library privledges, he brought me a projector so that I didn't have to struggle with drawing (I don't do that very well).  I spent a lunch recess trying to catch all the kids in his class so we could put all their faces on the spiders.  Then Kurt helped me pick a word for the web and we found a good quote from the book to let her know she was awesome. I love how it turned out!
