Squishy was here for one day only - so we went to Seattle.

LIPSMACKING
The Pixie,
"That was weird. I had something in my mouth. I don't know what it was but it was not meant to be edible."

WAX ON WAX OFF
She has this obsession with rags.
I thought, Odd, but cute.
And then I realized it wasn't just the rag she loved.
It was the bowl to go with it.
And then I remembered where she got the idea.

DOPPLEGANGER
She startled Mr. Right so many times it was worth keeping her around just for kicks.
But then she startled me and it wasn't so funny.

MY TWO HEADED MONSTER
Our two headed monster.
I will refrain from mentioning that the actual monster at the end of this blog, has only one head and is apparently going through an aaaatroooocious six year old monster-girl phase.
Her older sister went through one around the same age.
Her brother is waiting it out with the rest of the family.
Her little sister just waddles around the house growling, but not really doing any damage.
Pictured here: an actual monster and her brother.

THE QUIETEST BUG OF ALL
Remember this little bug?
No, not that squishy bundle.
The other one.
The quietest and most frequently overlooked.
Because, hell-oh-oh, when was the last time you sat in a room with three girls?
If you even wink at him he blushes.
Sometimes if I really flatter him he dashes behind the couch so he can smile without me seeing.
Therefore, in a great effort to change from the All-Pearl-and-Pixie-All-the-Time station, I have an antidote.
I got The Pirate a new church shirt.
He was super excited. It looks kind of grown-upey.
"Yea!" he said.
Yea? Really? (Oh you poor, poor, ignored boy.)
"Yeah, I can take this on my meetings."
You have meetings now?
"You know, like when I go home teaching with dad."
No, not that squishy bundle.
The other one.
The one that really needs a haircut.
The quietest and most frequently overlooked.

A FEW OF HER FAVORITE THINGS
This is her favorite jar of stuff. She runs her little fingers through it like gold. She dumps it on the floor and rubs it around on the carpet. She puts it back in the jar and starts over.
This is her favorite drawing pad. She creates masterpieces that portray urgency and spontaneity.
This is almost her favorite electronic device. It looks like mom's and beeps like mom's and used to be mom's. Her favorite electronic device is mom's.
This is her favorite lovey. She loves it. Sometimes she rubs it on our cheeks so we can love it too.
This is her favorite expression.
Ha ha...just kidding. Sometimes she looks like this and then you wanna kiss her.
That's one of my favorite things, he he he.
