The Big Bus Expedition!!

We got up really early today, and we're going on an expedition!!!

First off, to the bus stop!!!  Weather looks a bit miserable though.....

Aha!  We're getting a train!!

And we got a window seat!!  Hurrah!!

Love this bit.....

Ooo there's Millwall football stadium!

And there's the Shard over there!!

We got off at London Bridge and used the facilities.....

And left a little smiley card on the door!

Then we're off on our adventure!!

We passed these things....

...on the way to the bus stop!

BUS BINGO!!  We got the 381!

They got a little card too!

We passed here....

And that's Waterloo Station over there!!!

We got off at that stop and went to the next bus stop.

Sandy's been waiting for this bus number forever!!!!!

Where are we going now?

Ooooo....

Oh!! There's Big Ben!!

We went over Westminster Bridge.....

And past the Houses of Morons Parliament

That's Westminster Abbey over there, it's being cleaned up at the moment.

It's rather a fabulous building.

We got off the bus here...

And walked over to Victoria Station to find the next bus stop

Aha!  Here it is!!

BUS BINGO ALERT!!  We got the number 6 next!

They got a card too!!

We went past my favourite sculpture in Grosvenor Gardens

And got off the bus here.  We're getting ANOTHER bus!!

This is turning into a Big Bus Expedition!!!

The number 38 was next...

And another little card on the hand rail!

There's Constitution Hill

And we got off at the Royal Academy!!   We're going to stop for lunch here but we're a bit early ......

So we're going to do some shopping!

We saw these bears in the chocolate area!

After our shopping (we'll show you later) we had a wander around Piccadilly and found this rather fabulous kimono!

And a Paddington!

We had to pop into the RA after that because we were getting..... well, a bit desperate!!

So we used their facilities quickly!

And then went down Burlington Arcade!

Oh that's fancy

we found another sculpture here too!

We found these glass bottles with animal heads on the toppers!!

Fun huh?!

They had skull ones as well!

I like this one!

By now we were getting ravenous so we went back to the RA....

And got lunch!!  We had a hot sossidge roll with salad, a slice of coconut cayke and a lemonade.

Andrea scarfed down the sossidge roll so quickly I didn't even get a look in, so she said I could have the cayke all to myself.  She's good like that!

We used the facilities again....

And then headed off towards Green Park to find the next bus stop!

We took this side road down here....

And found a dinosaur head!!!

Then we headed off to this bus stop.

BUS BINGO ALERT!!!  We got the number 22!

Yep, they got a card too!

We got off at Oxford Circus station.....

And headed off down Oxford Street to the next bus stop.  We don't normally come here because it's so silly busy!!

Aha!  Here's our stop!!

BUS BINGO ALERT!!!  We got the 55!!

Yep, you guessed it....!!

We went past Tottenham Court Road.

Down past Museum Street....

Past Bloomsbury Square!!!

And then through a part of London we haven't seen before and got off here!!

At Old Street Station!!

Then it was round the corner....

To this stop!

BUS BINGO ALERT!!  It's the number 43 now!!

....yep.....!

Where are we going now?

Oh, we're at Angel now!!  We're getting the final bus of the day from the same stop we got off at.

And it's the 205!!

...ahem...!

And we're off!

Oooo, that's an interesting view, it's a reflection in mirrored glass windows!!

Wow!

And here we are!!

This is a brilliant building!!

It's time to go home!

LET'S GO IN!!!  (we got a BARGAIN, I tell you!!)

Then it was time to get the train home - we only had to wait 3 minutes and we got a window seat as well!

We went through Blackfriars.....

There's the Shard again!!  We started our day over there!

And then off towards London Bridge...

Oh this has been fun!

Back over Balcombe viaduct....

And finally got back home!

didn't have to wait long for our bus either

And got off here

We got a tin of posh coffee from the Piccadilly shop and then at the Station store, we got a tin of Macadamia nut bis kwits for £8.75...... they normally cost £11.95!!!  We got a discount!!!!

What a fab day out!
