Julia Fowlis’ crystalline vocals have enchanted listeners across five studio albums and collaborations with James Taylor, KT Tunstall, Mary Chapin Carpenter and dozens of others. Her largest TV audience to date — at the opening of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games — reached more than 1 billion. Fowlis has been heard in space on an official NASA astronaut playlist, had a lily flower named after her, and served as the voice of Scottish Gaelic for the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
