Why Mental Health Matters

Mental health is a crucial aspect of overall wellbeing, influencing how we think, feel, and interact with the world. In today’s fast-paced and often stressful environment, mental health challenges are common. In Australia, an estimated 21.5% of people aged 16–85 experienced a mental disorder in the previous 12 months (National Mental Health Commission, 2023). Common conditions include anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and substance use disorders (ABS National Study of Mental Health and Wellbeing). If you’re here to understand what’s going on for you, you’re in the right place and you’re not alone. The most powerful realisation is that you have the greatest impact on your future happiness. I hope I can help by pointing you in the right direction.

Taking Control of Your Mental Health

Taking control begins with the choice to be well and the personal accountability that comes with it. Many of us have experienced things that shouldn’t have happened. While we are not to blame for those events, we are responsible for our lives and the steps we take to heal and grow. At Be Calm Within I encourage conscious changes to your environment, movement, community and connection, alongside deeper unconscious work. Most people benefit from a combination of both.

My Services & Approach

At Be Calm Within I offer services designed to help you address and overcome mental health challenges:
  • The Richards Trauma Process (TRTP): A structured process for resolving trauma-related issues, anxiety and depression by addressing root causes.
  • Resource Therapy: Access and utilise inner resources to manage and resolve psychological issues.
  • Hypnotherapy: Work with the subconscious to resolve causes, not just symptoms, and facilitate positive change.
  • Coaching: Ongoing support to integrate changes and sustain mental wellbeing.
My approach focuses on underlying causes rather than symptom management. I aim to empower you to reclaim control, build resilience and deepen self-understanding.
