i feel like i have no time. i know i should be doing homework, but i don't want to. i'll waste the weekend away doing that shit. i just got back from robotics at skool. that is so fucking kool, i don't care how geeky it sounds. truth be told, i am a geek :)
no, but robotics was so fun. we had to program it to knock over all the coke cans in a square. but we couldnt get the motors to turn to the right number of milliseconds and all that. then chris would go off and fuck around with shit and we'd yell at him. i'm gonna name our robot unit over the weekend. i'm thinking something like "(name), flag burning, beer drinking, (something, something, something)" it'll be kool.
now i gotta go to the ski trip meeting even though i've been two years in a row. but andrew doesnt have a ride, so i guess i'll go. man, i want to go snowboarding so bad!
plus, it's about to be the long weekend.

yeah, so this is gonna be a long post, so i'll put the pictures behind a cut.
today was my last day at the animal shelter. there was a racoon today. it looked so scared, but they're just gonna go and release it. we also got a "bearded dragon" which is a good sized exotic lizard that they are gonne set up in an aquarium in the lobby. it won't be up for adoption, though.
tomorrow i'm gonna go apply for my permit for driving so that i can be eligible for my license next year. i hope to god it goes ok. the system that they have is so fucked up.
my heels and my knees are so damn sore from being on my feet for the past couple of days. but no problem.
only one more day in texas. damn! but i get to go to scotland, so that's kool. so after the summer i have learned (and all these things are very valuable):
- love animals, don't eat them
- things are better when you earn it
- the world will always be homophobic
- nikole may or may not be lactose intolerant.....hmmmmm....
- just because someone can't type properly, they're still kool.
uh, so maybe they arent ALL useful :)

yeah, so the miami model was pretty kool. it wasnt totally objective, but it got the point across. my parents started bashing it from the minute it was over, though. i wish people werent so ignorant.
and being a vegan is going great, by the way. very nice.
plus, i got the two books that i ordered.
"how to succeed at globalization" is a satire about capitalism and i'm about halfway through that. it's good.
"free the animals" is about the animal liberation front who rescues animals from laboratories. i havent started reading it yet, but it's pretty big so i'll read it a lot in scotland.
my mom and i had a big discussion on animal testing today. she was like "if it would benifit mankind, i don't think that hurting just a few animals is a bad thing" and all i could say was "you hold the life of two different species on different levels. a life is a life"
and my mom's friend was talking to my grandma a couple of days ago and got wind that i'm into saving the animals and such, and she said "well i've got a mink coat and it was dead when i bought it." and i'm like "if someone was dead, would you still rape them?" it's the same damn thing! what a bitch! i could just strangle some people sometimes.
so that's all there is to report. enough ranting for today. now it's sleepytime! |

i'm in austin checking out all of the universities. i've already been to college station to see a&m and that was pretty kool. i'm sitting in the lobby of the days inn using the high speed internet and listening to people yell about the coke machine having pepsi products. oh, no!
anyway, i'm gonna go see the bats fly around at dusk. apparently there's 1.5 million bats under this bridge in this city and they all twitch and fly around at nighttime. and later i'll go to sixth street and chill and play dominos with old guys or something.

ok, so my grandma is gone tonight because she has to stay the night at my aunt's because she has to watch my baby cousin early in the morning. so benjie and i have the house to ourselves. PARTY!!! yeah, we're gonna break out the bitches and raise da roof in the old people community. yeah....
no, but really all i've been doing is watching the real folk blues. it's so sad. now i'm drinking chocolate soymilk. yay! i'm still kinda sad, though.
so i got these meatless burgers and my grandma and the neighbor lady ate some. and they were really good. see, being animal-free isnt that hard.
what really chaps my ass is that you can't watch two minutes of tv without seeing an advertisement by the "unofficial" wendy's spokesman or a taco bell commercial. it's so fucked up that more people don't realize what goes on inside factory farms and stand up for that. eating meat is just unprovoked murder!
so anyway, i worked all this week at the animal shelter. i'm gonna take the weekend off, though, so i can be super bored. and guess what happened to me today...
there's this chihuahua mix in there that must weigh 25 pounds. it's fucking HUGE! so anyway, i thought that i would be nice and walk it around. it gets spooked easily, so i wanted to take it out of its kennel and walk it. so it walked around really slow and kept its tail between its legs. so i sat down on the ground and propped its front legs on my lap and was scratching it, when it puked on me! i'm like "aaahhhh! get the hell off of me!" and put it back in its cage. now every time i walk past it, i say "how are you.... disgusting rat!" it was horrible.
anyway, i gotta get back to the festivities. catch ya latah! |

ok, so lots and lots has happened since the last time i posted in the journal.
i'm a recently-born vegan. i think it's the best thing i've ever done. in the words of franz kafka: "i can look at you [animals] in peace now and as friends, because i don't eat you." that's exactly how i feel. yeah, so being all natural isnt exactly as hard as i thought it was gonna be. for the first few days i was like "dammit! what the hell am i gonna eat?" but now it's ok because i'm got vegetarian refried beans and tofu and soymilk. it's all good now.
tomorrow i'm gonna scramble the tofu. yum!
and i'm back at the animal shelter. since i've been gone:
1. the guy that adopted the corgi brought him back because he started digging while the guy wasnt home. i'm like "what the hell are you doing buying a corgi, anyway? anyone with half a brain knows that those are hella restless dogs". i want that dog sooo much!
2. my favorite doggie, the rat terrier, is back and i don't know why. it came in with a tag with the name of the dog and the phone number of the recently previous owner. shari (supervisor) told my to take it off after i was done playing with the dog because it doesnt mean anything now that the dog is up for adoption again. so i did and pocketed the tag. i'm gonna keep it. plus, i got an old city license dogtag. i'm keeeping that as well.
3. there are these two awesomely fat cats there. they are so kool.
4. finally, i'm always walking around with a kitten in my arms. a different one every five minutes :)
so now it's 11:00 and i'm gonna go watch ATHF. |

hey all.
i've got a lot to say because it's been a while.
since i got all of the cowboy bebop dvd's in the mail the other day, i've been binging and i just finished the series. all 26 episodes! i'm so proud. i swear, that show has the best story i've ever seen. i love it! it's my new favorite.
speaking of anime, the shirt that i ordered got here. it's got the "NERV" logo all over the front. but brittany couldnt appreciate how awesome it is because she thinks evangelion is "boring"

and i've been continuing to work at the animal shelter pretty much every day. yesterday, i washed the goat!!! it was so kool. nobody wanted to help me, though. maybe it's because i'm do damn weird. but now he's all shiny and ready to be adopted.
and we were gardening all day yesterday, and some other teenage volunteers and i found colored sand. it was kool. we want to spread it around the plants but the officers won't let us

and i got a new pair of those 3-stripe nylon adidas pants that my maid nuked last year. i'm never letting that psycho touch those pants!
anyway, i'm off to go find a bebop t-shirt and a corvette t-shirt on the internet because they don't sell them in stores. those bastards! |

yay! two of my bebop dvd's got in today. trouble is that i got volumes one and four first. but the rest should be coming in the mail tomorrow or monday. do they do mail on sundays? i can't remember.
so anyway, today i went to petco with lisa from the shelter and four dogs. the point is to get some visibility for both the animals and the shelter. it was a good thing. my corgi got adopted! a dentist came by and filled out an application for it. after petco, i got a ride back to the shelter and helped vaccinize(sp?) cats until three o' clock. it was raining HARD and freaking out the dogs.
at the shelter they were asking me what i wanted to do for college and stuff and so i told them that i wanted to be a journalist and all. then they said that maybe if i do freelance essays i can get published. especially in a wildlife magazine. so maybe i will
i also went to almeda mall and bought levis and a couple of shirts. also, a swim suit. i also saw this huge life-size cardboard cutout of simon cowell and in his hand was.... my phone! apparently, it's the "official" american idol phone. and i'm gonna buy one of those li-ion batteries for my phone with led's built in. it's gonna be stupid fresh!

it's only 3:00 and i'm bored. i've already been to the animal shelter and city hall, but i'm still pretty bored. i checked my e-mail and my friends' websites, but very little entertainment is there.....
i guess i'll just play solitaire.
today was pretty uneventful at the animal shelter today. after i cleaned the cat cages, i just sat around for a lot of the time.
janet, the onsite volunteer that takes care of the newborn kittens, lost two of them today. she said that they just died in their sleep. it was so sad.
i'm becoming attached to the little corgi that can't seem to get adopted. i wanna take him with me across the world, but that can't happen.
everybody should get a pet. and consider adopting one rather than paying hundreds of dollars for another animal that's not any better than the ones at shelters.
oh, yeah. i saw an advertisement on tv for the new videogame "driver 3", and my phone is on there. what sneaky advertising. i want the game, though, because i've owned all of the other driver games and thought they were skillfully done and not as lame and obscene as the "grand theft auto" series. the third one looks awesome.
but i don't own a ps2.....
maybe i'll buy one. yeah....
speaking of getting screwed because i don't have a ps2....
i saw a corvette 50th anniversary ps2 game at target. it's a driving simulator/arcade racing game with all 50 something car models in it. it's licensed and everything. i want that damn thing so bad, even though i won't be able to play it until i buy a ps2. and andrew has a british ps2 because he's a dumbass, so it won't work on it...
that sucks.
so my dad gets here in less than a week. i'm not too excited, though. the only good thing is that he's gonna teach me driver's ed. then maybe i can get my license this summer. |

my grandma's at my aunt's house tonight to help her look at furniture or something. so that means that i get the comfy bed!!! yay.

i'm actually not bored of summer yet. that's pretty kool. i'm just sitting at my grandma's computer eating chips and salsa. it's gooood.
anyway, i went today for the volueer orientation at the pearland animal control shelter. i can't wait to start. i'm starting tomorrow. it'll be really fun.
i should really become a vegan, i'm thinking. i've been thinking about that. i probably will when i move out of my parents' house. then i can be truly animal friendly. |

yeah, i've been busy since i've gotten to america, so i haven't updated. but here it is.
i spent last week in upstate massachusetts with my friend and his family and that kicked ass. it was sooo fun. we went fishing and i got to drive the boat and everything. fishing was fun because we got to catch these HUGE ass fish. and sam and his brother ate this huge thing of ice cream. it was like 4 scoops with a gallon of aerosol whipped cream on top. it made me sick just looking at it. but they ate it and it was kool. and we flombeid (sp?) bananas and cherries and stuff, but we just ended up drinking all of the rum. plus, they have a cat that is soooo huge. look out, kufu!
then i went to boston for three days. that's my kinda town. everything is so dense and full of people. you don't have to walk far to find something really kool. the people are really awesome and there's always somebody smoking weed on every freaking street corner. it was kool. anyways, i love that town.
so now i'm at my grandma's house, where there's all of the unhealthy food and coffee that i could ever want. i went today to submit my volunteer application at the animal shelter down the road. i can't wait to go do the volunteer work. it's a nice place with a no-euthanasia policy, so that's good. plus i have to submit my form for the "driver's ed" in a box. i hope i get all of that stupid shit done before i have to leave. next on my agenda is to go see "farenheit 9/11". i hope i get to see it soon. i also need to go buy clothes and stuff from the internet. but for now, it's off to go drink more coffee and go watch cowboy bebop on cable. THEY HAVE COWBOY BEBOP ON CABLE!!!!!! THAT'S SOOOO AMAZING!!!! |

finals! this sucks. i'm studying hard. i just want the damn skool year to be over. then i can just live my damn life.
i was thinking about how fast life is. my friends are graduating left and right, and i know that i'm next. on one hand, i want to move out and go to america for the freedoms that i have. i want to do volunteer work and get involved in political activism. but on the other hand, i want to live life with the things that i've always had and that i'm used to. i guess i'm just scared of change. |

let me just say that animal rights violators make me sick. how can anyone do the things that they do? it just makes me sick. people who cut the throats of innocent dogs or hit an animal in a car and drive away or like the australian soldiers who doused a litter of kittens in gasoline and then enjoyed watching them burn. i think it was the same people who were caught tying dogs to stakes and then running them over in tanks(yes, that shit all did happen).
and it doesnt just stop with those people who just torture animals in their backyare. did you know that 500 animals die each year at the hands of proctor&gamble due to animal testing?
once again, it makes me sick.
those people only do it because they know that they can and they know that they have the power over the animal to do so. those people should get to know how it feels to have someone enjoy their physical pain. they should be put in their place.
*i volunteer*
that being said, i have great admiration for the people that speak and act out in the name of abused animals. i would be there with them if i lived in a place with an infoshop or something that could get me in touch with them. i have a lot of respect for the animal liberation front and their cause, even though they are considered a terrorist organization. they are just halting the terror caused by humans to animals.

i just downloaded AVG anti-virus (which i would highly recommend) and cleaned out all of the viruses on my system. now i'm cleaner.

it's saturday. almost the end of the weekend. not a good thing. but the weekend was kool. on thursday i did something after skool (although i cant remember what) and then moved over to the battle of the bands on campus. that was pretty kool. especially the metallica cover. that was really awesome. but they didnt win. they shouldve.
then yesterday i hung out at casa grande....... *that's it*

also. i found this kool article about the internet. it was about how the internet is the most "anarchistic" part of the world's society. Anarchy=free exchange of information without the intervention of a governing body. internet=free exchange of information without the intervention of a governing body. that's what it's all about. and plus, the introduction of anarchy to a society is supposed to create a social blossoming and social revolution, opening the door for a flood of new ideas. that's exactly what's happened with the internet. since the introduction of the internet, the world has gone through an amazing social revolution. ideas and information are flowing all over the world without big brother's intervention. speaking of big brother, the article also mentioned how the government is now trying to regulate and censor the internet and turn it into "just another commodity"

as you can see, i'm busy. busy salvaging my computer from the grips of all kinds of hideous viruses. i think i have one of those bugs that gets logged into your ISP as participating in malicious attacks against some server in afghanistan or some shit like that. in america, if they ID you, they'll suspend your internet subscription. but i'm not afraid. Q-Tel won't rat me out. or else.... i will DESTROY THEM!!!!
besides that, my computer sucks. and the internet is sucking my bandwidth out my ass. so i'm pretty pissed.
hmmm... brittany's in thailand. how odd. she's always in thailand :)
so we have this new "visiting team" @ da skool to get us accredited. i've only seen those people like twice. anyway, i'm gonna tell them that the admins @ da skool don't know how much experience the hindu drivers have in driving large vehicles. the skool cannot for the life of them answer that question. i mean, it would be one thing if they hired inexperienced people to drive a delivery truck or something, but there are little kids on the buses. it's horrible. and our bus driver has broken the transmission like 3 fucking times.

the good days are getting rarer and rarer
i'm hella tired. but then again, i always am.
today was a fun little weekend day. i was forced to go to the shitty center by my parents but i ended up going to play counter strike. i just played need for speed for an hour though. anyway, it was fun. then i played grand theft auto with andrew for many long time before i had to go to karl's party. that was fun (karl's party, i mean).
but it was mostly nikole and i sitting and talking. JEFFREY!
i just got finished watching "THE SCREEN SAVERS". it's the best show ever.
oh, and i've got my phone now. yippee!
anyway...i'm off to go join my cat in sleep activities. |

also, the dudes in the compound are beginning a projekt that involves 2 AA batteries, a 40v amplifier, and lots of pain. in other words, we're building a stun baton. its going pretty easy. but now we have to figure out how to amplify it. then we'll test it out on stray kats or something. |
