A high school hackathon for the community! BeverlyHacks is a 100-person high school hackathon for the Beverly Hills community and is organized by the students of MorTorq Robotics Team 1515, Beverly Hills DECA, and the Intro/AP CS students.
Eligibility
Each participant on your team must be in high school.
Requirements
Each participant must upload screenshots or video demos of their hack.
Prizes
Judges Award
These awards will be given to the top 5 teams based on judging criteria: creativity, effort, and teamwork.
Best Civic Engagement Hack
The team that creates the most innovative project that promotes community development and citizen engagement wins a secret prize to be revealed at the hackathon by Mayor Bosse.
Best eCommerce Hack
The team with the most creative eCommerce hack will win individual interviews for an internship with the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce.
Leadership Award
The hacker that expresses gracious professionalism and leadership throughout the hackathon through the form of mentorship and volunteering will win a onesie of their choice.
Rookie Award
This award goes to the individual that has never coded before but demonstrated phenomenal effort in learning at the hackathon.
Moxtra Prize
The team that has the best implementation of Moxtra will win mini drones!
