Take the Pledge

Join thousands of your neighbors to take the Pledge to Support Georgia Libraries.

Here at the Alliance for Georgia Libraries, we want to live in communities that value our libraries and support their librarians. We want to see every student have equal access to a school library. Everyone in Georgia deserves those same opportunities. That's why we are asking you to Pledge your support locally, at the state house, and in Congress to support our libraries and the people who make them work. We want to make sure that public libraries are well-funded, that there is a school library in every school, that everyone can access libraries and read what they like, and that librarians are empowered to help people from all walks of life succeed.

Take the Pledge today and join the movement to ensure libraries are there for all Georgians today and tomorrow.

I am signing the Pledge to Support Georgia Libraries today because:

  1. Libraries transcend political parties and politics. They should be open and free for all.
  2. Libraries need stable funding to do their life-changing work well.
  3. Our schools thrive, and students succeed when school librarians can support their students.
  4. Quality libraries support business development and entrepreneurs -- which makes our local and national economy stronger -- and they provide the resources for a more educated and informed community.
  5. My community is a better place to live, is more fun and interesting, and is more successful because of our library.

I want to live in a community that values its libraries and supports its librarians. I want to see every student have equal access to a school library. Everyone in Georgia deserves that same opportunity.

Please add your name to the Pledge today and share this call-to-action with friends and family on social media.
