From Apprentice to Trainee Sales Engineer: Zac’s journey at Amplicon

We’re proud to celebrate the success of our apprentice, Zac Waddingham, who has now completed his Level 3 IT Technical Sales Apprenticeship and joined us as a Trainee Sales Engineer.

The apprenticeship combined workplace learning with structured training, giving Zac hands-on experience with senior engineers, product specialists, and the marketing team. His programme concluded with a research project on new product opportunities, earning him a well-deserved pass grade.

Reflecting on his journey, Zac said: "Completing my apprenticeship at Amplicon has been a challenging but hugely rewarding experience. I’ve built confidence in my technical and sales skills and gained real-world insight into how engineering solutions make a difference for customers. I’m excited to continue growing in my new role as Trainee Sales Engineer."

Zac’s mentor, Darren Saxby, Senior Sales Engineer at Amplicon, added: "It’s been a pleasure to see Zac progress. His determination and eagerness to learn have been outstanding, and he’s already a valuable member of the team.
