Fancy Fastwater: Poems Kindle Edition

4.7 out of 5 stars (4)

Fancy Fastwater dances through cities, curving around the bends of life, never settling anywhere for the reader to become too entrenched. Each beat in this discography of a traveler washes over a moment, yet will sit with the reader for a lifetime. This collection of tightly-knit poetry interweaves nature with urban infrastructure against the backdrop of complicated relationships.

This book of poetry is such a treat! Each poem is like a carefully wrapped present, small gifts of love and words, heartbreaking and tough, that have an enormous impact and will haunt you long after you finish reading them. I highly recommend this book!

How can a poet say so much with so few words? Each of Miss Blazo’s poems is succinct, intentional, and powerful. I’m amazed at the emotion contained in brief snapshots of this traveler’s journey in images of love lost, celestial imagery, mythological allusions, and redemptive courage. I reread all the poems, pausing to sit and savor the language and images that left me breathless.
