Updates

  • 📈 Most people look at one thing in a backtest: profit. Pro traders ask: can I trade this live? Here’s what they check: ✅ Max drawdown. +500% means nothing if it drops -80%. Most traders will panic and stop the bot. ✅ Deal duration. Weeks-long deals lock up funds. Shorter trades give more control. ✅ Averaging orders. If every deal fills 10+ averaging orders, the risk is too high. Lower deviation or reduce max averaging orders. ✅ Consistency. Steady gains beat random spikes and big losses. 💡 A good backtest isn’t about big numbers. It’s about what you can actually run with real money. 🔗 Start on 3Commas: https://bit.ly/4aq4Boy

  • ℹ️ The DCA bot screen changed recently, and one update is causing confusion: "Min Price" is now shown alongside "Percentage" in some fields. Here's what each means: Percentage This is how much price needs to move (in %) for the next action to trigger. Example: if you set your first averaging order at -2%, it triggers when price drops 2% from your base order. Min Price This shows the actual price level where the action will trigger, based on the percentage you entered. It updates automatically when you change the percentage. Why both are shown: Some users think in percentages. Others prefer exact price levels. Now you see both at the same time. Which one should you use? Edit the percentage. The Min Price will update automatically. You don't need to touch it unless you want to set a specific price manually. 🔗 Still confused? Check the Help Center: https://bit.ly/4rmJ2MM

  • 🔄 We've updated the Backtest interface to make testing clearer. What changed: • TradingView and PnL charts now sync date ranges and zoom levels • Renamed [Logs] → [List of trades] and [Type] → [Direction] • Added mini PnL growth chart and better hover states • PnL chart stays visible while you explore the TradingView chart • Click the small PnL preview to open full backtest details ℹ️ These are interface updates only. Your backtest calculations stay the same. 👉 Start testing: https://bit.ly/4tBjnBy

  • February: When the Real Work Begins Remember that burst of energy at the start of the year? It’s usually faded by now. But this is when things start to get interesting. February is when you start to see what really matters. The excitement settles, and you’re left asking yourself, what am I actually doing this year? How we do it at 3Commas We hold performance reviews twice a year. The crypto market changes quickly, so we can’t just go on autopilot. Here's what we actually reflect on: - What were your main goals? We list three priorities, rate how well we completed them. - What worked and what didn’t? We use the STAR framework to look at the situation, our actions, and the actual results. - What got in the way? We talk about challenges, bottlenecks, and anything we underestimated. - What do you need to grow? This could be skills, training, support, or mentorship. - What’s next? Looking at everything above, what should the next six months focus on? This approach is structured and honest, and it helps us stay aligned even as things change around us. Why traders might want to do the same The market has matured a bit. It’s still very volatile, but people are handling it more wisely. Now, the real advantage comes from discipline, understanding your data, and staying calm when trades don’t go your way. So maybe February is a good time to ask yourself: ✔️ What were my goals last quarter? Did I hit them? Why or why not? ✔️ Where did I actually make money vs. where did I just get lucky? ✔️ What's one habit or skill that would 10x my results? ✔️ What support or tools do I need to trade better? ✔️ What’s my plan for the next six months, and how will I know if it’s working? You don’t need a formal review process. February, when things quiet down, is the perfect time to reflect. What are you actually aiming for this year?

For about 1 hour, 3Commas will be fully offline. Trading tools and APIs will be unavailable. No orders will be placed or managed. 💡 Please adjust your strategies accordingly and monitor important trades directly on the exchange during this time. We understand that any downtime can be disruptive. Thank you for your patience and trust while we take care of this. • ℹ️ Each plan includes a monthly token limit for the AI Assistant. Every time you use the AI, tokens are used. 💡 For example: • Asking questions • Creating a new bot strategy • Analyzing backtest results • Getting trade suggestions or optimization tips If you use all your tokens, the AI will stop replying until the monthly reset. To avoid this: • Ask one clear, detailed question to reduce follow-up requests from the AI • Share all key details upfront: the pair, timeframe, indicators, risk settings, etc. This helps you get better answers while using fewer tokens. 🔗 More details here: https://bit.ly/45ZTP6X
