We’re recruiting new ambassadors, and we want you to join our program!
The Workman Ambassador program is a community of avid readers helping us spread the word about Workman, Workman Kids, Artisan, and Black Dog & Leventhal books. Our titles run the gamut from award-winning cookbooks to arts & crafts, self-help to gardening, bestselling calendars to innovative books for curious kids. By being a part of our program, you’ll get first looks at our new books and products (at no cost to you!). All we ask is you commit to posting on social media or leaving a review about the books you receive.
Please fill out the form below with your information. If your application has been accepted, you will be notified via email and added to our ambassador newsletter list. We prioritize inclusivity among readers and strive to host a diverse program, so we invite you to self-identify. This is optional and will not impact your eligibility to participate in the program.

Application
If you are accepted to the program, you will be notified via email and added to our ambassador newsletter list. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
Please note: At this time, we are only able to ship to the continental United States. Applicants must have a U.S. address to participate in this program. Due to the large number of responses, we are unable to respond to everyone who applies.
FAQ
How will my content be used?
We are excited about the potential to cross-promote your posts and reviews, but we will only use and/or repost your content in the context of how it was initially intended. By agreeing to the Workman Publishing Ambassador Program Terms and Conditions, you agree to grant us permission and license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute for our own promotional, advertising, or business uses (please see “LICENSE GRANT” section of Workman Publishing Ambassador Program Terms and Conditions).
Is this program paid?
We are unfortunately not able to compensate for posts or reviews, however each book you receive is free at no cost to you.
What counts as a post/review?
A post or review must make your connection to us clear, prominent, permanent, and immediately viewable, i.e. by including #WorkmanAmbassadorProgram in the caption. In order to keep receiving books each season, we ask that you commit to posting about every book you receive, whether that be a NetGalley review, a static Instagram post, a Tiktok video, a Facebook post, or otherwise. Your post must not be illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise injurious to third parties (please see “YOUR CONTENT” section of Workman Publishing Ambassador Program Terms and Conditions).
How many times will I be able to request a title and how many titles can I receive each season?
You may request as many titles from the provided list as you can commit to posting about. We will use reasonable efforts to send you one (1) of each requested title (subject to availability), unless otherwise agreed. Special requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and cannot be guaranteed.
Do I need to re-enroll each season?
No, you do not need to enroll in each season! You will remain a Workman Ambassador from the time you are notified that you have been chosen to be a Workman Ambassador until the Expiration Date (as defined in the Workman Publishing Ambassador Program Terms and Conditions) as long as you are in compliance with the Workman Publishing Ambassador Program Terms and Conditions and are in good standing as a Workman Ambassador (as determined in our sole, good faith discretion). When your contract has expired, we may mutually agree to renew your contract.
Can I opt out of the program?
You can opt out of the program at any time! In order to opt out you must notify us at workman-marketing@hbgusa.com, we will confirm receipt and remove you from the program.
