I so don't normally do this, but how sweet would it be to win one of these?

Or a $75 gift card to Tea Collection.

Or some See Kai Run shoes?

Asking for your help

My friend Bronwyn's mother has leukemia. Thankfully, she has found a bone marrow donor. Unfortunately, her family is quite strapped for funds (mostly thanks to treating said leukemia), and even though they have insurance, they need $7,000 to cover the cost of the transplant.

Bronwyn has created a page to raise funds for her mom. Please help them -- any size donation will help.

You can visit it here.

If a financial donation just isn't feasible right now, please spread the word. Bronwyn and her mom are lovely people who just really need some help.

Thank you guys for reading.

Gnarly is here!

Natalia Genevieve, aka Gnarly, was born on June 11th at 4:34 am, after an emergency induction-turned-natural birth. She weighed 7lb 2oz and was 19.5 inches long. She is the most gorgeous baby pretty much ever. Pictures with proof coming as soon as I get the time to find the camera cord.

We're all three of us doing great and are home.

And now, a PSA

As you're doing your holiday shopping, take a look at the shop at the Hunger Site. They have alot of GREAT stuff -- jewelry, ornaments, clothing, soaps, Fair-Trade coffee and chocolate, and even yarn. All sales benefit the hungry (or go to any of the sister sites and support breast cancer research, child health care, literary programs, pet adoption, or rainforest preservation). Plus, alot, if not most, of the items are Fair-Trade or co-op or otherwise ethically made.

And it's ridiculously affordable. No, actually, it's cheap. I mean, seriously. I shop there.

Kinda sad that I'm trying to do good through shopping, but hey...we all like shopping, and Christmas and other holidays are coming, so...
