A great summer

We had a great summer full of guests, beach, swimming and relaxing. Wish it could have been longer!

A little catching up

Here are some pictures to catch up since December. It has been a very busy spring.

Christmas with grandparents

We had a great Christmas this year. Rod & Pauline came the week before and we all went to the BYU bowl game in San Diego. It was an amazing game and so much fun! We were behind until the fourth quarter when our defense took over and we scored 3 touchdowns in about 5 minutes. All the action happened right in front of us. Loved it! Unfortunately my phone was broken at the time so I don't have any pictures to share. We also went to the pre game tailgate party where Emily tied in the limbo contest and won a t-shirt, and I tried the hula hoop contest and totally failed.

While Rod & Pauline were here we enjoyed eating almost constantly, seeing the lights in Poway, going for walks, tossing the football at the park, and doing puzzles and reading. So nice and relaxing. On Christmas Eve we got a surprise call from my dad saying he & Carolyn were on their way! They got here Christmas afternoon and stayed until Friday. Unfortunately my dad came down with a bad cold and spent a lot of time sleeping & trying to stay isolated so no one else would get it. We had fun playing cards with Carolyn and sitting in the sun with my dad to warm up.

The visits were great, and we miss you all! Looking through my pictures, I only have one picture of Pauline being a sheep for the nativity, and mo pictures of Rod, my dad and Catolyn. So sad! I didn't have my phone for most of the time, but still. Next time more pictures!

Thanksgiving week

We had such a good time in Portland, despite getting soaked to the bone. I love spending time with family.

Oops, it's broken

So, Becky fell a couple of weeks ago while ice skating. We took her to urgent care, for X-rays and were told it was sprained and she got a brace. Fast forward a week and a half, when it was still hurting, so we went back to the doctor, got more X-rays and waited over the weekend.  We got a call from the doctor yesterday with the news of a possible fracture and a referral to an orthopedic specialist. We heard from him today; got Becky in and into a cast. Turns out she has a fracture and was given the wrong brace. The good news is she will only have the cast for four weeks, and it is a minor fracture that doesn't need anything more than a cast, and she got to pick her favorite color of purple for her cast.

The Color Run

Had a fun experience this weekend. I participated in the color run. It's a crazy 5k, where they throw different colored powder on you at each kilometer. Had a blast running this with my friends on team wonder woman. Blake and the kids came to support and the kids still have blue hair today.
