Sledding

We went sledding last month and had so much fun! Eva wanted to go over and over again! Ely liked it, but didn't love it. You can see in the picture below, he would cover his face every time. He mostly wanted to have a "snow fight!" I took Boe down with me one time. I'm pretty sure he liked it!!

Kansas City, Missouri

In November Brian and I got to go on a once in a lifetime trip, in my opinion. :) A family that Brian taught on his mission nine years ago was sealed in the Kansas City Temple and we got to be there! It was a beautiful sealing and I could feel the Spirit so powerfully. Brian's mission companion, Jason Wayts, and his wife also got to be there. They live in Virginia. It was a really fun trip and I enjoyed getting to see where Brian served and meet some of the people he has told me about from his mission.
Boe got to go with us, since he flies for free. Thanks to Grandma Grimm for hanging out with Eva and Ely while we were gone.

Eva turned 6!!!!!!!!!!!

Our baby girl is six years old!
Eva is such a sweet girl! She is in Kindergarten and is doing so good. She says she loves it! She is learning to read and is always singing a song about a letter or a word or a shape she is learning about. She loves to sit at the table and make things out of construction paper or draw pictures. She is a pretty good artist! Eva asks lots of questions. She likes to help in the kitchen. Her chore is putting away the silverware...I think she needs more chores! She is usually really nice to Ely and always nice to Boe. :)
We are blessed with a beautiful daughter that we love so much!!Image
Eva wanted a mermaid cake.

She wanted to play pin the tail on the mermaid.

Ely thought he needed to peak!

Paisley's family got Eva horses, which she loved, of course!

Daddy got Eva a bow, so now she wants to go hunting with him.

The Penny in the Flour

We played this game for Family Home Evening the other day and the kids thought it was great!!
We pack flour into a small container and then turn it over on top of a plate. Put a penny on top of the flour and then each person takes a turn at cutting away the sides of the flour pile. The one who knocks the penny down has to get it out of the flour without their hands!Image

Ely turned 3!!

Ely turned three last month! We had a fun party for him. He had been telling me for a month that he wanted an Optimus Prime Transformer cake...so I did my best. He loved it!! Image
 Image
Ely got lots of fun toys. He loved the dinosaurs, transformers, and Iron Man so much!!

This is me and Ely waiting for his three year check up at the doctor's office.
Ely weighed 37 pounds and was 39 inches tall. He is a big boy!!
Ely loves to play rough and have lots of fun. He is overflowing with energy and is very strong!!!
Ely loves it when Eva will play with him. He is really a kind brother. He loves Boe and can't wait until Boe can run and play with him, too!
Ely loves cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, peaches, peanut butter and honey sandwiches, and anything sweet. He will not eat a hot dog...among many other things. Kinda picky when it comes to food. :)
Ely goes to daycare and is always happy when  I drop him off. As soon as he sees me coming to pick him up he runs to his cubby to get favorite blanket so we don't forget to bring it home!! He has a favorite barnyard puzzle at the daycare that he has memorized how to put together and they say he will do it over and over!
Ely likes to pretend to be a dinosaur, likes to have us read books to him, likes to watch movies, and absolutely loves his Grandpa Anderson. He loves all of his grandparents, of course!!!

He's pretty good with his new t-ball set he got for his birthday!! Thanks Becky!
