Eva's 2nd Christmas

We had a very fun Christmas. There was lots of snow!! Image Eva had fun sledding. Here she is with Grandpa behind the Jeep.
ImageWe had our Anderson Family Christmas Eve Party at Aunt Debbie's house. It wouldn't have been complete without the traditional pyramid!!ImageChristmas morning was fun!! Aunt Marcy really liked her presents!!
ImageI don't think Eva really understood why we were all laughing when we took this picture!! All she wanted was another orange to eat.
Image
Can you read Eva's onesie!! She enjoyed ripping the paper off of the presents.

Eva helped Daddy put together the rocking chair she got for Christmas. She loves it and will sit in it and rock her baby. So cute!!ImageWe hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!!

Image I was trying some hand-me-down snow clothes on Eva so we could take her out in the snow this week. I thought it was pretty funny! Image

What have we been doing?

Well, I haven't posted anything since before Thanksgiving, so I thought I should catch up. Here's what's been going on...

The Saturday before Thanksgiving Brian and his friends went on a pig hunt. Hopefully this thing tastes better than it looks!Image
Brian worked the night before Thanksgiving until about 8. Then we went to my parent's house. Thanksgiving morning, Brian, my brother Jeff, and my Dad headed to Twin Falls to play some football with my brother Zach and some of his friends. All of us girls (Mom, Marcy, Megan, Kierra, Paisley, McKnz, Eva, and me) headed to Twin shortly after.

Brian and I made a quick trip to the hospital in Twin to see his Uncle Kyle (he had a heart attack and is home now). Brian and his dad were able to give Kyle a blessing.

Brian and I then hurried to meet up for the 5K that my sister-in-law Holly's friend planned. Zach, Holly, Marcy, Jeff, Brian, me and about ten other people ran in the 5K. That was way fun, and a great thing to do before we went to stuff ourselves with turkey!!

Right after the 5K we picked up Eva at Zach & Holly's house and then headed to Rupert to have Thanksgiving dinner with the Bingham Family (Brian's mom's parents and brothers and sisters).ImageThere was lots of yummy food. We played volleyball and card games and Eva had fun with her cousins (Brian's first cousins).

This is Eva with her Aunt Charmaine.
ImageThis is Eva and her cousin Hyrum. He is three and was helping me keep her from going up the stairs.
Image Cousins Jakara, Eva, Akayla, Sydney, and Kelsey.
ImageAfter we played around in Rupert, we stopped by my Great Aunt Barbara's house to see all of her family. Then we went to my parent's house and picked up McKnz. We had to come back to Pocatello that night because Brian had to be at work really early the next (Black Friday) and McKnz had to work the next day too. I had the day off. McKnz and I went shopping that morning and I spent the rest of the day just hanging out with Eva.

On Saturday after Brian and McKnz got off work we went back to my parent's house for the Ugly Christmas Sweater Party!! Don't we look great? We had lots of fun.
ImageMcKnz's ugly sweater won her a prize. I think she looks so cute!!! So does Sophie!
ImageWe went to church that Sunday at my parent's ward. It is always fun to see everyone there. We went to Brian's parents house for dinner after that. Then, back to Pocatello. We had to get ready for the next little trip.

Sunday night we took Eva to Jeff and Megan's for her first sleepover. I was sad, but I knew she would be just fine. She loves it there. Megan said she slept all night, so I was happy. After we dropped off Eva, Brian and I drove to the area where we were going hunting the next day. We spent the night in the back of Brian's Rodeo in the church parking lot in Bennington, Idaho. The next day Brian's was "guiding" me on my first elk hunt.

We drove around Monday morning until we found some land that wasn't private property. Then we hiked for two or three hours. It was beautiful out there and the weather was so nice.
Image We didn't see any elk :( but there were tons of deer!

I had so much fun just being out there with Brian doing something that he loves, and I love too. Maybe next year I can get us some meat!
Image Since we didn't see any elk, we decided we might as well leave. We drove back to Pocatello and got ready for another drive. We picked up Eva and then went to my parent's house. (Oh, by the way, Brian and I took the whole week off of work so we were just doing whatever we wanted to.)

This is a picture of Brian helping my dad move the pumphouse.
Image On Tuesday night, Brian and I went to the Twin Falls Temple and Eva stayed with Gma and Gpa. It is a beautiful place to be. ImageOn Wednesday we went with Mom and Dad to my brother Josh's house in Oregon. Josh wanted some help building a pole barn at his house, so we decided we might as well go.

Eva got to play with her cousins and had lots of fun! She jumped on the trampoline with Kaci and Kayletta. (Her name is actually McKay Verletta, but she let me know that she changed it.)
ImageEva was tickling Oakley's toes. I don't think Oakley was laughing, though!
ImageEva really likes animals. Here she is with Latah. She also played with her cousin Colton, but I didn't get a picture.
Image Here is a picture of the barn shortly before we left Oregon on Saturday. When we got there, there were only a few poles in the ground, so they got a lot done. Of course, it's hard to not get a lot done when Josh is in charge!

Thanks Josh and Kari for letting us come and stay. It was so much fun.
ImageWe dropped Josh off at the airport in Boise on our way through, dropped my parent's off at their house, and got back to Pocatello at 10 o'clock Saturday night. Since then it has just been the same old routine.
ImageBrian and I did have our 3rd Anniversary on Wednesday! I love you, Brian! Thank you for all you do for me.

All in all, we've done a lot of driving, had tons of fun, and made loads of great memories!!
This is a super long post!! Sorry!!

1 Year Checkup

Eva had her one year checkup on Friday. She weighs 18 pounds 3 ounces, 7th percentile. She is 29 1/4 inches tall, 49th percentile. So, she's not very big, but the doctor wasn't worried. He said they worry if they are below the 5th percentile. She eats good and burns it all off walking all around the house.
Eva was very good with the doctor. I think he enjoyed that she didn't cry and was happy and talkative with him. Of course, she did cry at the end when the nurse came to give her the MMR and Chicken Pox shots. Daddy scooped her right up and took care of the tears!!
