We had an awesome Christmas in Danville. We some how managed to split our time between the 2 families. Early Christmas

This year we are heading up north to Danville to spend Christmas with our families. So we called Santa and asked him to stop by our house early so we would have more room in our car on the ride home. We thought this would be a smart idea since we have seen Wyatt's gifts from the family that were purchased on black Friday and have no idea what has happened since. So Santa dropped off a gift for Wyatt which he loved! Also, yesterday Wyatt got to wear his Christmas Sunday outfit from Grammy and Grampy he looked so handsome.ImageSanta gave Wyatt an exersaucer for Christmas!ImageChecking out Daddy's outfit Image

Christmas Treats

I spent a lot of last weekend making holiday goodies to give to nieghbors and friends at church. I made Chocolate cookies with mint, dark, semi-sweet chips, Fudge, and of course Oreo truffles! We packaged them up and spent Sunday afternoon passing them out. I was really happy the way the truffles turned out they were colored for Christmas. I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season and remembering the true meaning of the season now and throughout the year. Merry Christmas!ImageChristmas Truffles! I tried one they were so good!Image
Here are the little Elves who helped us to deliver the goodies!

Yummy Toes

Wyatt was breach when I had him (C section) and because he was so big he was basically folded in half inside me. To give you a visual his feet were framing his face. It was really hard to swaddle him because he kept putting his feet up to his head like he had been for so long. Well, he hasn't really ever broken this habit and loves his toes a lot as you can see!Image

Thanksgiving

We spent the holiday in Danville this year. I flew up on Saturday with Wyatt to be there for my dear friend Annie, her dad passed away from cancer. They had a party to celebrate his life and I didn't want to miss it. Lance joined us on Tuesday night. We braved the black Friday sales and found some great Christmas gifts although I found myself buying stuff for Wyatt for now while Lance bought himself a blu ray player for his new TV (that we have not purchased yet)! It was really great to see family and to hangout with my girls. Wyatt finally got to meet his future girlfriend Reagan (Annie's baby) he loves her. ImageReagan and Wyatt. Costco/Truffles

On Saturday we went to Costco...which is nothing new for us. We sat in front of the 47" LCD we want debating on if we should get it now or wait. We decide to wait for Christmas. We came home and I made Oreo truffles for church since I was teaching. They were amazing I will now taunt you with pictures of them and my super cute baby boy. He is no longer sick but has 2 teeth that just broke through the surface. Needless to say he is not a happy boy right now.ImageWyatt was super tired so he fell asleep in the cart and took a nap at CostcoImageHere are the truffles the drizzle is messy but I was having fun :)Image
*Never mind the whole Wyatts not sick anymore...He has a nasty cold. He was coughing all night and can barely breathe..poor baby!

Sickie-Wickie

For anyone who watched Will and Grace, and saw the episode with Molly Shannon where Will is sick should understand that title.
So my beautiful baby boy is currently going through his first real sickness. He started running a fever well over 103 last night. I called the on-call peds to see if there was anything I should do because tylenol was not working at all! She was SUPER rude and told me to put him back to bed because he needs to sleep it off. Then she hung up on me!! It was 10pm it wasn't that late and my kid was sick so get over it!
Today Wyatts fever still was not gone so I took him to the DR to make sure there was no ear infection. The DR saw him and thought he may have a Urine infection (GREAT!!). So we hooked a little bag around his man parts and waited for him to pee. Cut to 3 HOURS later and he finally pees. Good news: No Infection Bad news: Wyatt has a nasty virus.
So it will be late nights and sick baby around here for awhile. The funny thing is even though he had a bad fever he was kicking and laughing like nothing was wrong...SERIOUSLY that kid is so weird sometimes...FEEL BETTER WYATT!!

Trick-or-Treat

Here in Santa Barbara they decided to do two days of trick or treating. Friday we went to downtown Carp and went at all the shops down there and then on Saturday we went to Santa Barbara. Friday we used our child to get some candy, however on Saturday it was just to take him into Nordstrom for everyone to see him! ImageWyatt in his monkey costume ready to roll. Love One Another...

This quote came to mind to me today as I thought of what happened to me yesterday. Yesterday I had to run to Vons pharmacy to pick up a script and a birthday card for my grandma. I ran out the door hair pulled back and sunglasses on to hide the fact I had NO makeup on. As am I looking for cards I hear the pharmacist and the tech making fun of me for wearing sunglasses inside. To be honest I forgot I had them on. They were saying some pretty hurtful things. As I walk to the register I took off my sunglasses and the pharmacist says "Oh I think she heard us".

My thought was "Of course I heard you, you idiot!" "You aren't standing behind a magic sound proof invisible wall!" I didn't say anything to them about it, and asked for the name of their manager.

Today I called and spoke with her. She tried to tell me that I might have heard wrong. I explained to her that it is hard to believe that your employee would act this way but it happens. I asked her to talk with them and explain to them that you never know what someone is going through. And to tease or criticize for something so trivial as wearing sunglasses inside is horrible.

Now I really don't know what will happened from here and I won't worry about it at all. The point of this post is that you never really know what others are going through, so give them them a break before you criticize. You never know what is going on behind closed doors and how bad it may be for someone else. So as Jesus said "Love one another as I have loved you"

Carving Pumpkins

We carved our pumpkins on Sunday night. Wyatt actually did most of the work and by work I mean he sat in his highchair while we stuffed his face full of rice cereal and peaches. I must say these are my fav pumpkins I have ever had! On a side note I love Wyatt's highchair its not baby-ish and you can take the tray off with one hand..HUGE plus! It is the Baby Trend "Mojito"ImageLance cutting the top of my pumpkin for meImageWyatt with his baby pumpkin in his new highchairImage

Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch which was so nice. Growing up we only got our pumpkins from a local pumpkin patch so if you ask me this is the only way to get a pumpkin. It was a little strange since it was 82 degrees out, but this is why I live in Southern California! We picked out our pumpkins and went into the corn maze which was the most frustrating thing EVER! We skipped the hay ride since we were so hot. All in all a great first pumpkin patch day for Wyatt.ImageThese were some huge pumpkins!ImageWyatt and Lance searching for the perfect pumpkinsImageWyatt with his baby pumpkin...he was very happy about itImageLost in the annoying corn mazeImage

Disneyland/Rooster Tails

This weekend my sister Jennie came to visit and we had a blast. When she was little my mom use to call her "Rootie tootie fresh and fruity baby rooster tails". This is not a joke! And we have no clue why. She also called my dog Kinsey koodle baby noodle! So now Lance and I call her Rooster Tails any chance we get. While "Rooster Tails" was here we met my Uncle Tom, Aunt Lisa, Aunt Terri, Jack and Abby down at Disneyland...to celebrate Aunt Terri's 50th, Jennie's 23rd and Abby's 5th birthdays. Jack was sick on Monday so he and Lisa stayed back at the hotel while the rest of us went to the park. They were missed. We had a great time and Wyatt did awesome! We are so sad it had to end.ImageAunt Rooster Tails and Wyatt before church

First Solids

On Saturday we started Wyatt on rice cereal. We got some great video of it which I will post once I get it downloaded. No surprise to all of you he LOVED it. The next night I got some great pictures of the event. I had to take off his bib because he wanted to eat all the food that spilled on it which made feeding him really hard. He also started using sippy cups he gets so excited when we give it to him. It mostly ends up on his shirt but he is happy so who cares!Image

We had to give him his own spoon. He thinks he is such a big boy!

Nap Time Help Needed

Wyatt is not much of a napper. He loves his "cat naps". Needless to say it is impossible for me to get anything done. I have tried a lot of tricks and nothing has worked that great. Last week I found the answer, sleeping in the boppy! He sleeps a little bit longer and it is so cute to watch. To all you moms out there if you have any tricks to get your babies to sleep longer I would love to hear them. His longest nap has been a little over an hour and he had tylenol in him! It only happened twice most of his naps are 20 minutes.Image

4 Months

Today was Wyatt's 4 month check up and shots. Lance and I decided to alter his vaccines. Instead of 6 shots everyother month we do 3 shots every month, it has worked out great for us. Wyatt is 18 pounds 7.2 ounces and 26 1/4 inches long. He is in the 90th percentile in height and a little over the 95th percentile in weight (no shock there). I took a picture of him on the scale just for proof. The Doctor also told us to give him water everyday because of his size for his age he needs extra fluids and we can't give him more formula, and I have reached my max with breast feeding. I could win a breast feeding marathon at this point! Basically he needs fluid not calories due to his "Stay Puffed Marshmellow Man" size!Image
