This quote came to mind to me today as I thought of what happened to me yesterday. Yesterday I had to run to
Vons pharmacy to pick up a script and a birthday card for my grandma. I ran out the door hair pulled back and sunglasses on to hide the fact I had NO makeup on. As am I looking for cards I hear the pharmacist and the tech making fun of me for wearing sunglasses inside. To be honest I forgot I had them on. They were saying some pretty hurtful things. As I walk to the register I took off my sunglasses and the pharmacist says "Oh I think she heard us".
My thought was "Of course I heard you, you idiot!" "You aren't standing behind a magic sound proof invisible wall!" I didn't say anything to them about it, and asked for the name of their manager.
Today I called and spoke with her. She tried to tell me that I might have heard wrong. I explained to her that it is hard to believe that your employee would act this way but it happens. I asked her to talk with them and explain to them that you never know what someone is going through. And to tease or
criticize for something so trivial as wearing sunglasses inside is horrible.
Now I really don't know what will
happened from here and I won't worry about it at all. The point of this post is that you never really know what others are going through, so give them them a break before you
criticize. You never know what is going on behind closed doors and how bad it may be for someone else. So as Jesus said "Love one another as I have loved you"
