Eddy and I met at the Mother Hips Concert almost 5 years ago and are now taking our cute little boy to another great concert! The first was at Ego's and this concert at the Canyons with Rach, Henny and their cute boys was definitely a better setting. We've been to many Hips concerts through the years, here's to many more!

We LOVE Summer!
We've been enjoying summer too much to post, that's a good thing! Here's what we've been up to...
Sam is 10 months old today and changing so much week to week. He now has 6 teeth and is pulling himself up and cruising around everything. He's a little noise maker and has master the "spit bubbles." We love him so much and can't imagine life without him!

Welcome to the world!
This little lady didn't waste any time, within a couple pushes and a close call with a toilet Taylor Ethington was born to two proud parents. Julie and Mike did a sensational job and it's so much fun to see them glowing with joy, excitement and love. She's healthy and absolutely beautiful and we couldn't be happier to have her join our family! It's amazing to me to see what a difference 9 months makes at this stage in life...how did my baby get so big? We love you Taylor!

Memorial Weekend
Every year a big group in our ward does a southern Utah camping trip for Memorial weekend. This year it was in Capitol Reef and there was a great turnout despite the wet weather. It was Sam's first time camping in a tent and he did terrific. We had a great time hiking, dancing, eating, shooting, catching lizards and playing around the campfire. Since about half our ward was there we even had a Sunday service and Eddy gave a terrific talk.

We went on this great hike with a pool at the end where you could jump off. Here Travis is trying to coax Eddy to jump, "I'll catch you Eddy."
Coop and Sam are great friends and loved playing together in the car.
We had a nice break in the weather and with a big group of about 40 of us went on one of the hikes that wasn't closed due to the weather. It was so beautiful down there and when it started sprinkling on us, became even more beautiful. The waterfalls started picking up off the canyon walls and we were all booking it back to the cars for safety.

Driving out started out ok, then the flood waters were raging and the road became a river. I love this picture because not only do you see the Peterson's mini raging through the water with the water splashing up 6 ft+, but you see the sheer joy in Eddy's eye's in the rear view mirror (that a few minutes later became fear when our car almost didn't make it), you also see the GPS with a car driving on green= no road at all. Silly Garmin, shouldn't the screen have been blue for water?

Aloha!
We had an amazing time in Kauai! Sorry it's taken me so long to post these, getting back into the swing of things has been rough for all of us. Sam's especially taken it hard. He loved the sand and the water!

Bear Lakin
We spent the weekend in Bear Lake with the fam and played oodles of games and had a great time. If you look close you can see T rigging the checkers while I have Michael smiling for a picture. Things can get pretty intense.
How many fingers am I holding up?

Two of my favorite people. My mom is such a blessing; she packs Sam around when I can't walk more than a few minutes, she watches him every week while I work, she takes such great care of us, she's heaven sent!

After the pink dye scare, Brook let us know she's expecting a little girl. Both Brook and Julie are going to be having little girls within the next 5 months, congratulations!
The beard was left in Bear Lake, good riddance :)

Working up a sweat.
Sam and I enjoying my birthday gift. I worked on my b-day so pretty much celebrated for the entire week with family and friends, it was great! A hammock is a perfect gift for a gimp, Eddy is so thoughtful, I love it. I've really been struggling not being able to get around and enjoy my "normal" activity level. My knee isn't healing as it should be, hopefully it picks up the pace soon, I'm going crazy. A stranger the other day said, "you're probably learning patience" hmmm, maybe I need to focus on that a little more.
Sam with his new friend Taylor, they held hands on their own at only a few months old, watch out Rob and Tiff!
Playing with the neighbor kids.
Twins separated at birth.

Firsts
I just get thrilled at all the first going on around our house, mostly with Sam of course. It's so exciting watching him add new things to his repertoire.
First bath out of the baby bathtub...well kind of.
First solid food. Ummmm rice cereal
First time mom has stayed up until 4am on purpose...in a long time. Girls weekend!
Sam's first time swimming in a pool. He did great, doesn't have the backstroke down quite yet.

First time Eddy has been an armpit and crotch model... sorry no pictures available:(
no, seriously.
First time Sam's worn Eddy clothes. They worked in the 70's and still work today. It would be sweet if they were bell bottoms.
So what do you think?

squishy baby
Ahhhh Michelle, we miss you so far away in China! She took these fun pics of our boy before she left. It's been fun talking to her and hearing all about her adventures, the fun English program she's in charge of, her duck feet diet and moss showers. We love you!
