Blooming Haus London

Blooming Haus started as a pop-up in Chelsea in 2014. We now work from a studio under the railway arches in Battersea, designing flowers for events, weddings, and ongoing contracts across London. Clients include Vogue, Cartier, Raffles London, and Annabel's.

A group of nine Blooming Haus Team members stand closely together, smiling and interacting warmly. Casually dressed in neutral tones, they create a harmonious look. 01/ 2014

Blooming Haus started at the entrance to Pavilion, a private members' restaurant in High Street Kensington. By the end of the first year, we'd outgrown the space, but the business was still a second career for both of us.

02/ 2015-2020

We spent four years studying alongside full-time jobs. Michal trained as a Master Florist with Nicole von Boletzky at the Academy of Flower Design in Switzerland with week-long intensives, learning German from scratch, 60-hour weeks between coursework and employment. Michael completed an MBA at Imperial College while working as a chartered environmentalist and LEED-accredited consultant. The two disciplines: design at the highest technical level, and environmental science, became the foundation of how the studio operates today.

03/ 2019

We took our first studio in Battersea - less than 80 square metres and signed our first contracts with larger businesses. The work shifted from individual commissions to ongoing relationships with hotels, restaurants, and retail.

04/ 2020–2021

We launched the online shop and Michal left full-time employment to run the studio. By 2021, commissions had come in from Annabel's, British Vogue, Cartier, and Bulgari. The team began to grow.

05/ The studio today

Michael joined full-time in 2022. The studio now operates from Arch 707–709 on Havelock Terrace in Battersea with over 500 square metres across studio, office, storage, and a walk-in floral cooler. The team is over ten people. The arches have EV charging and bike racks, which surprises no one who knows Michael's background.

Blooming Haus was founded by Michal Kowalski and Michael Dariane. Michal trained as a Master Florist in Switzerland and Austria; Michael's background is in sustainability and business operations.
