ELEVATING THE CAMPUS EXPERIENCE

An integral part of Atlanta, Georgia State University is its own unique destination for discovery, creativity and life-shaping opportunities. The new GSU Blue Line will knit together the university’s loosely connected network of dorms, libraries, research centers and classroom buildings to create a memorable campus experience and clearly mark our distinct place downtown.

EXPLORE OUR CAMPUS QUADS

From the rich history of the Fairlie-Poplar district to our burgeoning, modern research complex on Decatur Street, Georgia State is rapidly growing and continuously changing the landscape of downtown Atlanta. Our newly established quads on the Atlanta Campus, defined by the Blue Line, foster community and connection, shaping distinct places and creating a vibrant campus identity. View the quads on a map or explore each below.

DEFINING THE CORE OF
THE
ATLANTA CAMPUS

Spanning 3.7 miles through the heart of the Southeast’s premier urban university, the GSU Blue Line is a signature walking path that connects key destinations—academic, research, and residential buildings, as well as community landmarks like the Campus Greenway, Hurt Park, the Student Center, and the Student Recreation Center. With clearly marked wayfinding signage, brightly lit walkways, and thoughtfully designed infrastructure, the Blue Line fosters a safe and welcoming environment for living, learning, working, playing, and connecting. This pathway reflects more than just movement—it’s part of a larger vision for a connected, inclusive, and forward-thinking downtown.

To explore the broader goals shaping this transformation, we invite you to visit the Georgia State University Master Plan—a dynamic roadmap for the future of our campus and community.
