Frosty Picnic
As I finished blow drying my hair, I couldn't find the boys. I finally looked outside to find an impromptu picnic on the driveway. Now, never mind that it was 20 degrees out, and their picnic consisted of a loaf a bread and applesauce. Whatever works!! Jack is going through this no shirt phase. I promise I try to keep him clothed, but he can even take off his shirt while buckled in his car seat. Now that's talent!

I came across the most dangerous web site, and I have to share. Very cute hair accessories and tutu's.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
So Long Golden Locks!
We had a fun experience the other day. I walked out of the room, for maybe 30 seconds, and Jack had cut his own hair. Not once, but two times in the same day. Apparently I wasn't shocked enough the first time. Now the problem is, we were supposed to do Christmas pictures this week. But I guess I should know that is how our life works :)

Catching Up
Where does time go? It's been crazy around here the past few weeks. Luke had a birthday and I can't believe he is so old. He is such a big help to me. He is so sweet to Jack and Ellie. I know I expect too much out of this sweet little boy, but he always exceeds my expectations. I love you Luke!
Ellie is getting so big and I really don't like it! She is starting to coo and smile. Jack says she is his best buddy. The best is when he kisses her and tells her "you a really cute boy". He is still learning that there is a girl in the house :)

Congrats!!
The boys are finally finished with flag football. With two games a week and all three boys playing, we had four games a week. It was crazy for a little while. This was Nick and Ty's first year, and the "little team" did well considering they were playing against older kids. They even had a game where they played Luke's team. It was a learning experience :) Next year is their year!
The "bigger team", won the championship for the first and second grade. I think last year they only won two games, so they improved alot. Luke says he wants to play tackle next year, we'll see.

Talent

I just have to give credit where credit is due. Alicia took some fun pictures of Ellie and they turned out beautiful! She is a talented girl! There are so many I can't choose which ones I want. Thank you so much for your time and patience.
So cute..... Today I had the experience of doing all four boys flu shots and Ellie's two week appointment, all at the same time. Just doesn't get better than that! After Jacks traumatic shot, with tears streaming down his face he says, " NO want Ellie to get a shot". How sweet is that! Already protective at two years old!

One Week old
How time flies. I don't like it! I know how crazy my life is right now, and I still want to push the pause button. All the kids are at such fun stages. This week I have just realized how much fun we have as a family. Sometimes it's hard to notice with all the fighthing and yelling, between the kids. But then there are the moments I live to see, where they are all playing together, or complementing each other, or standing up for each other, and I realize how lucky I am!
All the boys have reacted so different to Ellie. Luke wants to hold her and talk really sweet to her. Tyler just can't wait till she grows up! He can't tease her yet :) Nick is the most interested. He wants to feed her everytime. Jack wants to kiss her head, and know where she is at every moment! She already has each of them around her little finger!

Ellie Nicole
Ellie is finally here! 7 lbs 6 oz, 20 in long. She is such a good baby! The boys are loving her, and I can't put her down. Our little family feels complete. It has been a little crazy trying to figure out a new schedule, with home work, and flag football. But I can't believe how good it feels to finally have her here safe and sound. Here are a few pictures from the first few days.

First Day of School
Im not really sure if you can call it that for Nick and Ty. They went for an hour, and then don't go back for a week. They are not happy about it! Luke is very happy with his new teacher, and excited to be back in school. Jack thinks he should be in school too, so he had to wear a backpack all day. As for me, with three (almost four) still at home. I can't say I notice too much difference :)

Happy Birthday!
I may have blocked alot out, but I have loved having twins! They are so much fun to watch and such good buddies. But man are they different!
Tyler is the imagination king. He loves to make believe, so much so that I really wonder what color the sky is in his world. He is always looking for a friend to play. He loves to tease, but has a sweet side too. I love his sense of humor! Ty always can make me laugh.
Nick is my tender hearted little boy. He is always asking me how I am feeling and kissing my tummy. Nick is such a worker! He will clean with me all day, and loves to be outside helping his Dad. Don't let the sweet face fool you though. He can get MAD. And when he does, watch out!
These boys are cray, and alot of days push the patience right out of me. But I love them so much and can not immagine our family without them!

Excited!
Lagoon
I knew that because of baby girl, I could only do Lagoon once. So we picked the coolest day of the week and hit the park with Colby's family. The boys love hanging with their cousins. Luke was a good sport and spent most of the day on kiddie rides with Jack. Colby's sisters helped me alot, so I could sit most of the time. Thanks girls!!

Lock up your daughters
I can only imagine the phone calls I will get from school next year. Tyler has a thing for older girls. He's been telling babysitters they are "hot" since he was two. But now I'm worried. Swimming in a pool in St George, he made friends with a 15 year old girl named Madeline. After playing with her for a while, I saw him swim up and kiss her on the cheek. I walked over to explain that is not OK and he needed to tell her sorry. Then jokingly to Madeline I said "you can only kiss a girl if she asks you." To which Ty looking at Madeline says, "so are you gonna ask me" Nice Ty, smooth just like your Dad.

The best gift ever!
This was the only thing I needed for Mother's Day. A note from my six year old, telling me what he likes about me. Alot of my sleepless nights are spent wondering if I am parenting even somewhat right. So I have to say, I shed a few tears when I read this sweet note! Thanks Luke for making my day!
I also have to thank all the mothers in my life. I have learned so much from you, and continue to be amazed by your talents. I have so many acts of service performed in my behalf, and am forever grateful. Thank you to everyone for such a great example!

San Francisco
Colby's parents invited us to go with them to San Francisco. Neither Colby or I had ever been to that part of California, so we were very excited. We saw SO many things in such a short time. His parents are so much fun! We relaxed and enjoyed every minute. They even suffered through a Giants game in 90 degree weather for me. It was a record temperature for the city. Thanks so much for a GREAT trip!

But when do you look back and laugh?
I dont know if I should laugh or cry. While Colby and I were on vacation, our good friend Nicole came and stayed with the boys. While at the park with all the boys, Nick came running and said, "Colie Olie Tyler peed on the tire swing." Nicole went over and sure enough he did. She asked him Tyler where is the one place you can go to the bathroom? Tylers response...... "Well Colie Olie, actually there's two places, One is the bathroom, the other is a toy if the kids won't let you play with it." That is the logic I face in my house every day.

Shock and Awe!
Those are the only words to describe my feelings, when the Dr. told us we are having a baby GIRL! I fully believed we were having a boy. So, Im not sure it has sunk in yet. The boys are very excited for a sister. I had to stop and buy something pink on the way home. Colby now knows the price tag of a girl :)

If you ever need to know
I realize that getting this excited about a cleaning tip, tells a lot about my days :) But this is one I needed to pass on. The other day at lunch, I sat in Tyler's gum. At home I googled getting gum out. It said, HOT water and a toothbrush. Thinking yea right, I tried it anyway. Totally melted the gum right off. It was so cool to watch. I never would have believed it! So there is my random bit of information for the day.

Extra Credit
Moms learn alot every day. But every once in a while we get to do a little extra credit research. Just in case you ever need to know, liquid dish soap will get lipstick off of walls. I have to thank Jack for helping me learn this random bit of information. He painted the wall, so I could figure out how to clean it up. You learn something new everyday!

Inside little minds
My Mom always says you never know how a little mind pictures things. Tonight I had a good example of that. I was watching TV with Nick. I cant remember how the conversation started, but we were talking about drugs. Colby's family has a funny song they sing about saying no to drugs. So we were going over what he would say if he was offered drugs. Then he asked me what drugs looked like. I told him pills, powder, needles. He said "yea, but do they have eyes?" I said no. He said, "they don't even have tails?" I am not sure what he was picturing, but it was funny to hear his version.
He also said caffeine is not good for you. "And Mom Diet Coke has caffeine and so does pools." Close Nick..... chlorine :)

Emergency?
Tonight I had to run a few papers out for church. I decided to take Jack with me. I let him sit on the front seat, because it was a couple houses away. I ran the papers up to the door, and on my way back could hear the radio up loud. I got in and said "you turn the radio up baby?" When all of a sudden I hear a man say, "Do you have an emergency in your car Miss?" Jack had called On Star. Mortified, I explained the situation, and drove home. On our way Jack asked "Mom, that Santa?" I think I may have called Santa one too many times this holiday season :)
