Happy 23rd Birthday Brigham!!!

Image

We got to have Brigham, Madi and Spencer up here yesterday, they left early this morning. Brigham and Madi are headed to Disneyland one more time before their passes expire. We had fun eating chinese food, playing games and spending time together. We are thankful for Brigham and hope he has an amazing year!

Brigham asked for books this year, he got several of them that he was expecting. But we surprised him with a mission book with pictures from his mission in it. I recently found the camera he took on his two safari's and was able to add those pictures as well.

Lucy got to go to the temple again. Her and her companion have the same dresses, she is loving her companion and doing so great. She is helping other sister missionaries on splits and training at several other meetings. She is loving the Scriptures and the work.

Spencer recently turned down an offer to go oversee some additional parking at the Winter's Quarter Temple. It is awesome they asked him to manage a project like that. He was also just called to his Elder's Quorum Presidency. ( I hope it is ok that I put that in here, probably should wait a few weeks...) Good thing only a few people see this.

Mary got her MISSION CALL TO MISSOULA MONTANA!!!

These four are graduating soon, Brady and Luke will be getting their calls in March. Craziness! But exciting.

We had an impromptu party on Tuesday night at 8:30 pm because we had so many things that night. We facetimed the brothers and Lucy, Gma Great and Aunt Haylee and Josh. I am sure other family got on too. We had different people on all of our phones. Thankful for technology. So excited for Mary! She will be starting on June 10th and going to the MTC on June 16th, English speaking. She graduates on May 18, we get out of school on May 22nd. She will get to see Logan but missed Trevor by one day and Lucy by a couple months. She is excited, her mission is new, it was organized in 2024.

My Mom brought beautiful flowers and balloons and waaaay too many treats! Thanks Mom!

On Monday night Marjorie and I had the chance to go to an oil painting class put on by the City. We had a great time and Marjorie did FANTASTIC!

On Tuesday morning with met with Marjorie's Dr, Joel Turtle, in Layton Primary Children's building. He showed us her MRI, where these bones joined diagonally instead of straight across like they were supposed too. He wants her to wait a couple of months and get another xray so we can see the rate her back is changing. There is a chance we don't do anything. However, if her back keeps getting worse while she is growing she will need surgery. So it was pretty good news. The vertebrae is supposed to look like the bottom rectangle.

New glasses for these two. However they are sliding off their faces a lot, so that is frustrating.

Some fun walks this week.

These 3 came to the temple with me last night. I did initatory work and then went back down to the baptistry.

Heber got to go to the Temple!

Sarah painted this Book of Mormon for Kellson's birthday gift. She painted on the front too but I don't have a good pic.

Mary's band banquet was last Tuesday night. She was awarded the Spirit award for West Field and we had a yummy dinner. She has done amazing things for all 4 of her bands and they have been lucky to have her. Congrats Mary!

Image
Lucy is doing awesome! She got to go to a mission leader conference. She is doing so well. We are so happy she is serving!

Image
Marjorie made this in her CE class, she designed it and cut it on the band saw. I wish I had the video of it. It was amazingly fast. Her teacher's face as it blasted off was Awesome!

Yesterday Lucas got to come visit since his sister's cheer competition was in Farmington. They had so much fun together.

Spencer and I got to do our 5 mile loop twice this weekend. On Saturday this was a funny sight!

It was awesome of Spencer, Brigham & Madi to come up for this special occasion without me asking them too.

It was a crowded night and even with an appointment we were there almost two hours. It was a Wonderful evening and Marjorie was able to be baptized too and we were all able to go in and watch. Sarah babysat for our neighbor. My parents have been so sick for 10 days, my Mom was bummed to miss. Heber got to pass the Sacrament today. He did a wonderful job and loved it. He wants to go back to the temple tomorrow.

2025 was really great for the most part. Lots of great accomplishments, but adding Madi was the best part! Losing Connon was the hardest. We are certainly blessed and so grateful for a new exciting year. Mary's mission papers were sent in on Friday.

Image
We lost our dear Pres. Holland. His funeral was amazing and what a tribute his children gave. He was an amazing father as well as leader. I love him and will miss him. He spoke right to my heart and I received a lot of encouragement from him.

Image
Jerry was baptized! Lucy spoke at it on the gift of the Holy Ghost. I got to watch on zoom. She was just made a Sister Trainer Leader. She is excited to do that in addition to her other work. She has lots going on still and now another companion. She is sending this one home so she will be there at least two more transfers.

Image
Got to walk with Mindi and she gave me a calendar with her photos in it! She is a FANTASTIC photographer. I love it.

On Wednesday we headed to St. George. We celebrated New Year's with James, Angie and Grannie. We had our eye appointments on the 2nd and then came home. Frannie will be getting glasses this week. Her eyes digressed 7 steps. Ugh.

Image

We got in a couple of walks. One with Spencer on Friday morning, but the picture didn't turn out. I walked with James, Angie and Trystan in the rain on New Years day as well.

James is in the video not any of the still pics. Oops! We had a great time down there, watched all of Wicked and played a lot of games. Now it is time for schedules and work/school. Thankfully we don't dread it as bad as some.

Today Heber was ordained a Deacon and was given a beautiful blessing by Joe. I can't believe Fran will be the only one home on Tuesday nights now. For a few months 4 of them will be going to YM/YW.  It would have been nice to have more of the family there but it was not going to happen soon. My poor parents have the flu and have been sick for 4 days now. Hopefully some will be able to come to the temple with us.
