Here's another page from that same unfinished comic.
These pages got stained somehow.

Black and White Nam coveer

Here is the black and white original for Nam issue 22.
Notice the rubber cement residue at the top.
I peeled off the logo so you could see what was under it.

Buscema pencils My inks

Here's a splash page I inked over Buscema.
I remember every time I got a job of John's to ink I would just stare at his pencils which were very simple but beautiful and perfect and think how I was going to attempt to do them justice. Again less is more.
One of the two times I actually met JB he said "Oh you're that kid that inks like Sal"
I was blown away by this because somebody told me that John's fave inker was his brother Sal so I tried to ink like Sal.

Buscema pencils My inks

This is pretty typical page that I inked over Mr. B.
I found that keeping things simple worked better than burying his art under a bunch of rendering and left room for color.
I used blacks in the foreground to create depth.
Note how well he laid out his pages.

Unfinished Conan pencils

This is one page from an issue of Conan that I was penciling that I never finished.
I't's yellowed with age but it's kinda funny if you read the little dialogue notes.

Nam Covers

Here are some covers I did for THE NAM.
A great comic book for sure.

Conan the Destroyer

This is a cover I did for the Conan the Destroyer movie adaptation. Whenever there was a movie adaptation I got work on them because I could do a likeness.
Arnie was fun to draw.

This is a page from comic short I did with Larry Hama. It's Wally Wood meets the Road Warrrior.
