If there's one thing LJ needs desperately, its an ignore function. When you're in several communities related to the same thing, chances are you're not the only one in all those communities. God help you when someone decides to post the same thing in all of them. The eyesore that is x-posting can literally take up an entire day or two worth of valid posts that I want to read, and it's especially bad when the topic is, of all things, cosplay, the only part of the pokemon fandom I have little to no interest in whatsoever. Simply ignoring chronic x-posters so I do not have to scroll past walls of text would go a long way towards fixing this problem.
To go on record, I have no problem with a little cross-posting now and then, especially if it's only in 1 or 2 of the communities I'm in, or if it's a brief 1 or 2 line post asking a question or telling the maintainer that you changed your journal. You should also list the other communites you've posted it to. That's good form. There should not be a massive fucking picture in each post, or if there is, it needs to go behind a fucking lj-cut. I don't want to read the same paragraph 6 times. If your post(s) pisses me off, I'm not going to answer it or comment on it except maybe to say fuck off. In short, the only attention you'll get from anyone who is in all the communities with you is going to be negative. Just pick the largest, most populous community or the one most tailored to your post and leave it at that. kthxbai

In other news, my world of warcraft guild on Ursin downed Ragnaros, the Firelord for the first time today. It marks the transition of our guild from a casual raiding guild to a serious endgame guild. I'm stoked.
