my general likes/DNWs/favorite tropes are listed below, followed by some fandom-specifics when i could think of something to add. these are all just suggestions, and if you have your own ideas that don't fall within my DNWs, please go for it! don't feel like you have to include anything you aren't comfortable with, of course. :) this is a lot of stuff, but i'm pretty easy to please! i just like to make sure that my creator has somewhat of a jumping off point, if desired.

-- i'd be just as happy to receive something set in the pre-canon era as canon for this one! wwi-era while tommy is in the war; does he encounter alfie in france? what's it like being a clay kicker with his brother, or freddie? i listed so many relationships here it's difficult for me to get too specific, but i adore tommy's dynamic with his siblings, his complex love and respect for lizzie, and his rotating friend/foe relationship with alfie.

TURN:

-- ben/caleb: how does ben reckon his religious upbringing with his feelings for caleb? how does caleb feel about constantly playing second fiddle to major tallmadge? this is one relationship where i don't mind them being quite sweet with each other, as well!

-- ben/nathan: what was their relationship like at yale? how did they meet? how did ben handle nathan's death?

-- ben/washington: this one is messy. how do they deal with ben's hero worship for washington, and his constant need for washington's validation?

 
BAND OF BROTHERS:

-- winters/nix: so many options here! i love them hooking up pre-canon in OCS. i love them getting together during the war. i love them getting together post-war, when dick follows lew to new jersey. i'm a big fan of foxhole-in-bastogne fic. i love them navigating lew's alcoholism together. i love their codependency. 

-- speirs/nix: neither can have the one they really want (nix wants winters, speirs wants lipton) so they settle for each other.

 
HANNIBAL:

-- hannibal/will: i love their mind games, and their therapy sessions. i'd also be happy to receive post-fall fic!

SUCCESSION:

-- roman/mencken: would love to see their relationship through the gaps that canon leaves; we know they worked closely together, but how? i love their banter; it's unparalleled. would also love to get a glimpse of them post-canon. maybe mencken wins the presidency and he takes roman along for the ride. maybe he loses, and he blames roman--or their relationship continues despite the political failure. 

-- roman/kendall: would love pre-canon, canon, or post-canon! 

-- kendall/frank: this is one i would prefer pre-canon. what was that mentorship like? was kendall seeking a father in frank? a mentor? 

MASH:
(note: i am a bottom!hawkeye truther, apologies in advance. please feel free to give hawkeye some gender fuckery as well! he deserves it.)
-- hawkeye/sidney: some of my favorite eps are OR, dear sigmund, bless you, hawkeye, and war of nerves. i love sidney helping hawk work his shit out, making him rest, being an anchor. but i also think that hawk could be that for sidney, too, if sidney would let him. this is one MASH ship where i would be happy with something pre-canon--maybe hawk and sidney knew each other when hawk was studying medicine. i'd also love to see sidney getting in his head about their relationship and the ethics of it.
-- hawkeye/trapper: they can be in love, they can be friends with benefits, they can be some mix of the two! i'd love to see them in canon era, or post-canon. and i never tire of 'trapper didn't write because he was notified of hawkeye's death', ala the late captain pierce. 
-- hawkeye/mulcahy: catholic guilt my beloved. i love them teasing each other, and dancing around each other. they have great banter. 

 
BLACK SAILS:

-- flint/hal: that deep relationship we see in s1 had to come from somewhere. is it unrequited love? did they hook up once, and never again? i'd be glad to see pre-canon here as well!
